Still useful to use as a simple way of backing up your phone. It meant when I upgraded from an iPhone 4 to a 5 that everything transitioned across - pictures, texts, apps, contacts .... an exact replica. My music is stored on my iPod Classic, a copy of my iTunes music which is stored on an external hard drive. Never purchased a single thing from iTunes, I just find it handy for the phone and cataloguing my music collection. After all, it's free and synchs with my devices.

Not buying another Samsung phone after my S2 would randomly get hot plus it was network locked and had bloatware on it, the Nexus 5 which replaced the S2 is much better.

My last three phones have all been Google Nexus, the 4, the 5 and now the 6p.

Loved them all and because they're Google, you get the Android updates first.

I have a Sony Xperia (L I think). Its a good phone but what annoys me is the incessant app upgrades (connecting via wifi or 3G can be a fraught moment) and the amount of stuff the comes preloaded that can't be turned off/or uninstalled.
