Getting really fed up with this wet and miserable weather! Hot is fine, cold is fine, wet and dismal is not fine!
Had my first hot chocolate of the day (only drink I can actually taste at present) in one of my Christmas mugs, managed a couple of chunky chocolate chip cookies too. Really wanting to get on with things but in my very tired phase at mo so not enough energy which is a bit frustrating. Hopefully things will pick up in a day or so.
Love the mat and slippers FEISTY. I think with little FEISTY and working you're doing really well to have made any Christmas progress at all.
PRINCESSKITTY hope everything is ok and you're just madly busy with Wiggle.
PINKSTEPS missing your posts, hope you're ok.
PIXTOTTS I've got a gorgeous Cath Kidston Christmas planner with all sections in it but I just can't bring myself to write in it and spoil it! I've used a basic app this year to keep track of pressies but I'll have to transfer everything over to my spreadsheet soon. I like to be able to look back over the past few years or I end up buying people the same thing :rotfl:It's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
The letters to Santa are out now. I was writing cheques at work last year and filled in some names, forgot all about them until the week before Christmas when I got a call from my friend asking me if I knew anything about them. The boys were hyper with excitement! I didn't actually see the boys until about mid Jan when we were taking them to see Shrek. As she has the car seats for the boys we were going in hers. The older one was "thank you , thank you, thank you!", younger one sitting as far forward as he could looking very serious. "What are you thanking me for Robert?" "Arranging for Santa to write to us" Younger one still sitting forward, as serious as only a 4 year old can, waiting for us to finish, then announced "GTQ, I was on the naughty list" My heart melted, then asked him if Santa had come, "yes" "well, then, he must have been pleased that you were trying to be good" (I had to be as serious as him!) He thought about it for a second, then gave me a big smileA smile costs little but creates much0

Hi all!
Been a mad few days with work and life. OH birthday is friday (a month before xmas) and his gift won't arrive in time, he's ok with it.
Need some ideas for stocking fillers for him and my dad - they don't really drink, have everything football related you could think of, and not really any hobbies. Oh and my dad is lactose intolerant like me, just to be extra awkward. Need to be small, as my parents are emigrating in a couple of months. If anyone sees anything give me a shout!
Picked up the final bits for my mum (she's done!), couple of bits to order and then I should be finished present wise.0 -
Feisty the cake looks gorgeous as does the welcome mat to your log cabin.
Hope everyone is well.
Did some Christmas shopping on Amazon yesterday so a few more bits sorted.
Knitted another couple of pairs of stockings, and got a few more crafts planned for the school decoration day
This week we are going to see frank turner in concert, I can't wait, it's dd1s and ds1 birthday pressies and Christmas pressies for ds2 & his gf plus me and Dh are going as well. I'm really looking forward to it and count it as a Christmas pressie to me as well.
Looking to get a bottle of daisy perfume so keeping an eye out for that at the best price I can get.
Still haven't made a start on my reindeer craft challenge item so need to get that sorted.SPC~12 ot 124

Does anyone know how long fudge will keep in the fridge? When I make it, it generally doesn't last that long, but as I am trying to manage my time and would like to be able to sell some for the charity, I need to be able to make it as far in advance as possible as the day before I need it will be out of the equation.
I desperately need a day off work to do some housekeeping, last 2 weekends have been basically sleep & shower at home, as will the next 2. My spare room looks as if a bomb has hit it, need something, pull everything out, find it, rush out the door....you get the picture. Just looked at calendar, I have 16 days in December in which to work, see as many people as possible, sort out stuff for the charity, make sure that everything is wrapped, delivered if necessary etc. The last weekend before, again is sleep & shower at home, deal with hampers to be made up, charity Christmas lunch. Monday work, we are trying to cancel class that night, Tuesday, work, hairdresser coming Tuesday evening, Wednesday, work, drive to Holyhead after work, Thursday, ferry home & sleep! Somewhere in amongst all of that, I will need to pack, see my boss who will be having surgery on 14th & will be off work for a month, so will either have to see him in hospital so that the office can be closed easily for the 2 days before Christmas (we close in general until new year anyway), and get him to sign supplier payments, I can do it, but at least it makes him feel important if I get him to do it, or if he is out of hospital, call to his house as it is just off M25 so I can get off & on again at J8 on way to Holyhead.
