Sammy- I really recommend a bird table! I get endless joy watching the numerous birds on our table- just make sure its away from fences/trees etc where cats can get them. I love the idea of making bird fat balls etc for them. What breed is your little Bruno? Im sure Poundland had pink baubles etc in last year, some beautiful vintage theme ones too (but glass so not suitable for a childs room just in case they break).
Thank Murie...we have a rather long garden, and my hubby has built a shed at the end (read 'workshop' apparently - but behind it we have turned into a sort of wild garden, its left overgrown and myself and my kids sprinkled flower seed bombs down there so the bumble bees etc have their little safe haven. We are hoping to store bits nad pieces up and make a bug hotel and a hedgehog house too. Hoping if a hedgehog moves in they will help keep my slug problem down :eek::eek:they are enormous on my welsh mountain top!
Also my bruno is a JRT - ill see if I can figure out how to add a picture in a minute as its been a while.
Im hoping this one has worked....
Bruno is in the jumper - hes 17, and then the doggy snoozing is Mabel - she was left in a horrid state tied up outside my old work and basically after some heated words with a well known national rescue - I had no other option but to bring her home, and she was in such a state that hubby saw her, fell in love and shes been here since. Whoever left her should be lucky I never saw the CCTV footage :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
Anyway back to happier ideas, me and the squidlets are sitting down to make Christmas lists later so mummy can actually get buying some bits!
Pinksteps - AAAAAAAAAAAAwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwwww I love doggies! She is beautiful! What breed is she or is she a heinz 57 like my mabel?Time to find me again0 -
Sammy- they are both beauties! Obviously well loved and happy little pups x. Slugs have been a nuisance here too again this year although as most of my plants are in pots they have had to do some Olympian efforts to get to them.lovin' this site!

She's a labradoodle but I prefer mongrel rather than the posh name. Had to get her because I'm allergic to every fur and feather going, but not doodles. Her mum is a golden lab and dad a standard poodle. She's sort of grown into her looks lol0 -
Evening.
Had a busy week last week. I was away to the world highland dance championships with my daughter. She did me proud and came away with a medal.
But since coming back, ive been snowed under with work and now my brakes are rubbing on my car. Payday isnt until Friday, so I need my car to hold out til then.
I'm loving all the jingle bell crafts. You are all very talented. Are you doing a challenge every month? I must have missed it, but would love to join in if you are doing another? I need some focus just now. I'm kind of losing sight of myself.
Peppapig- I just love your chair. I'd smile and feel all fuzzy every time I walked past it.
I have a new edition to the family to buy for this Christmas. My sister is expecting and is due the 18th of Dec. will be nice to have another baby in the family. My sister and bil have been trying for years and had been going through IVF. :j:santa2::xmastree::santa2:0 -

Thank you so much everyone for the lovely comments on the chair. I think I love it even more because I got the chair for nothing lol. I've got the padded seat as well and I finally got some material for it although haven't covered it yet. It'll have the normal seat Jan to oct and it'll live in the bedroom then from November it'll be downstairs with its Christmas seat and bells!
Welcome back Flowfy and Pavlovs dog, lovely to 'see' you again.
SAMMYKAYE your children sound really caring. Last year one of the vets near my DD did a collection of small animal bits (food, toys, blankets etc) for the local animal shelters. We did a dog shoebox and a cat shoebox and they delivered them to the shelters just before Christmas Eve. I think I'll have a go again this year and see if I can maybe get a collection going up here for our local shelters and our local RSPCA. Lovng Bruno and Mabel, so glad you rescued her. I'm still working on DH to get another dog and cat after we sadly lost our mad but lovely JRT suddenly aged 11 at the beginning of this year. He's still traumatised by it but I'm hoping to persuade him.
PINKSTEPS I could love Teddy easily, I'm not really a fan of Labradoodles (my friend had the most hideous one imaginable lol) but she looks gorgeous.
MURIE I'm itching to get going on the dolls house. I think I'm going to decorate the outside and do the repairs and then just paint everything white inside and then after Christmas DGS can choose wallpaper etc. I think it'll have to be modern, she's still a bit young for period lol but I foresee a nursery and plenty of children and dogs. Her last little house had about eleven dogs who did impromptu 'shows' on the kitchen table!
NIC we're doing a craft project a month if you want to join in, anything you like. 0462 is taking the lead and the theme for September is SNOW so do join in if you can. Just realised FREE has already said all thatHuge congrats to your DD on the medal and to your sister and BIL on the new baby. Hope he/she arrives on time so you can get lots of 'my first Christmas' things lol.
FREE, thank you, I've paced myself so feeling ok and thankfully the fatigue seems to have passed after the last couple of days. It was lovely to see old friends again and catch up. The food was lovely too and then we spent a couple if hours with DD and DGD on the way home. home now and just had tea and toast and off to bed soon.
I'm really feeling the desire to batten down the hatches for Autumn but it's still a bit early. I've got this huge urge to rip out the flowers from the front tubs but I'm trying to resist for a bit longer! Roll on Christmas! Oh and found out tonight it's the vintage fair in Milton Keynes next weekend so very happy as I thought I'd missed it this weekendIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0
