Hi,my memory is pants and I would have to sit with a notebook to give individual replies,so excuse me if I miss you out,not intentional.First off, hope all people and pets are on the mend.

Regifting,I do it up to a point,as I don't buy for anyone who is not family at Christmas. but sometimes I pass things on for Birthdays or when asked for tombola prizes etc.I took two bags of gifts to the salvation army charity shop the other day.Ungrateful I know but we would never use them.(all from MIL)My best gift from her this year was a pack of 4 sink and bath plugs!Last year my husband got a pack of 4 microwavable baked beans from her.

New year.We are going out to a posh dinner dance with Mr V's work.In previous years I have always done a beef dinner for the family on NYD.This year son in Canada,DD1 in Iceland,DD2 at her Aunties,Mr V visiting his Mother. That leaves me n my Mum but DD2 has got my car and Mr V will be using his so I cant collect her.We are having a big get together on 10th January instead.Sorry TMI.

I think I have a touch of empty nest syndrome,I just loved it when the kids were young.perhaps I am in need of some Grandchildren!

Resolutions.Get back on the weight loss wagon,I have put a good 10 pounds on since my op!What a good idea to do pinterest stuff.I will join you and start by deleting 3/4 of it.I also need to get more active.

Free, yikes, thats a shock but as has already been said you know what you are dealing with now.Well done for going to the GP.I am sure in time you will start to feel better.xxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxxx

  • Freespirit - Sorry to hear about the diagnosis. These chronic illnesses sure are the worst! :(

Well hello everyone. I haven't posted for several days. :rotfl: Can't believe Christmas went so quickly again. I think I will probably be posting less often now as I stop thinking about Christmas until about August/September usually! Will try to pop in at least once a month!

Coming up this year is (hopefully) my graduation from the OU. :D Not sure if I'm excited or nervous!

Oooh and before I go can my birthday be added to the list? It's the 28th of January. So, not long really. Quite hard to think of things you want when your birthday is not long after Christmas! :rotfl:

Morning all!! Well i was woken in the night(3.20!) by DS asking for a drink, couldnt gwt back to sleep, my stomach was cramping terrible, came down and having been lying on the couch with a hot water bottle on tummy which seems to have eased it!

Free... Sorry to hear the news from the docs was a shock, and i no its already been said but a least you'll perhaps be able to manage it more now.

Peppa .... Glad tou enjoyed the film

Princesskitty....thats it when you have little ones there is no time to be ill, and things do seem to take long to get over! I dont blame you for treating yourself, those Emma Bridgewater bits sound lovely! And i think i should pinch your new years resolutions!, intend to cook the same meals over and over, and i too pinned countless thnigs, with the promise that i'll make, and never have, so i think i will definately try more in this coming new year!

Not sure what we are up to yet today, but but hope what ever you are all up to, you have a good time!xxx
  • Freespirit Sorry to hear the news regarding your health but at least you now know what is wrong and can try to manage it. (((big hugs)))

Freespirit well done on keeping your appointment with the doc - I know how difficult that must have been. So sorry to hear it isn't something that will pass with time but like the others have said, if you know what's causing a problem you can deal with it. You've already proved you're stronger than you thought and with the support of your lovely family you will deal with this and find a way to fit it into your life. Sending you positive vibes and a big hug too x
It's the most wonderful timeof the year :
  • Hugs free, must have been a shock. I hope you are getting lots of support and help coming to terms with diagnosis. But at least now you know you are getting the right treatment and pain relief.

  • Free I can only echo what everyone else is saying but I'm glad you know what it is now. All my love mojo x
  • oh free not a nice thing to hear any time is it... but ya know what now you know what it is and you can look out for the signs hopefully you can keep it in check so to speak.. i know a number of people who suffer with that and one of them still manages to horse ride a few times a week. (shes in agony after but it doesn't seem to stop her)

I just made an order on the bombcosmetics sale. not sure how long the bathbombs last for but have read if you store them wrapped in cling film they last a bit longer?

Noticed next xmas eve and day are both weekend days (my fav days for xmas! just seem's right to have them on a saturday and sunday.

Went for my last swim of the year with my dd3 this morning. we had to walk through the park (full of trees) through a nice windy/rainy storm so we were wet before we got there lol. we then popped into tescos on the way home and i picked a number of their party packs of food to make a lil buffet up for tomorrow night.. wasn't going too as its a year since my dh's bestfriend passed and i doubt he will be in the mood to celebrate but i think we need to raise a glass or two to him. And the girls will like having a buffet tea.

We still haven't taken the decorations down. Usually do it before new year but i have no motivation to do it this year, maybe on saturday.

I have been so lazy this week! The kids and I have just played with games and watched tv. We did go out on a bike ride yesterday, but that's the most ive done lol.

Tomorrow I plan to gut the house and give it a good clean for the new year.
We have no plans on Hogmanay except wine and nibbles in the house. Probably bring in the bells and be in bed by 12:30am.
Usually on New Years day we have a hm steak pie. But this year we are having roast beef as we got it on our muscle food christmas hamper. I do love steak pie, but very rarely have roast beef, so will be a nice change.

I'm feeling nervous starting my new job next week. I have been waiting to start it since the end of October. The council were pretty rubbish at getting the refernces and paperwork sorted. I'm so used to working in a pub, this time it's as a dinner lady.
I need to be more organsied at home with meals. I tend not to do a big shop and pick stuff every day or every 2nd day. But I won't have time now. I'm going to sit with the kids and get them to tell me each a meal choice, then make up a menu/meal plan for the week.

Off to get a copy of Woman magazine, there is a voucher of SW joining fee. I need to get back on it as Put on over 10lbs over the Christmas period alone :-O
