Free- I understand you feeling nervous but tomorrow will hopefully put your mind at rest. Sending you hugs and get well vibes.
DD has not been sick for a while but her temperature is still very high. She is so weak that i am having to carry her up and down the stairs to the bathroom. Not doing the old "glass back" any good but as long as she is ok that is all im bothered about. Had to cancel my physio today and im supposed to be helping the school out tomorrow so will have to cancel that. She will not be well enough to got to school tomorrow so it looks like a mother daughter couch and dvd day x0 -
Mrs I- glad you had a lovely safe trip! Hope you are Jet lag free now x
Feisty- a tidy house with a little one is a an achievement in itself! Glad you are feeling more in control now x
04624181- hopefully DD is feeling better x
peppa- we used to be into 1/12th scale about 15 years ago- Dolls House Emporium was my fave catalogue! I remember a lady telling me that she was so addicted that she had to buy the house next door to house her collection! I laughed at the time but I can see how it could potentially happen as one house leads to another to another to another.................! I still have our first ever dolls house a 4 storey American town house- it has resided on top of my wardrobe gathering dust for years. It survived our kids playing with it so it can wait up there for the DGchildren when they come along.
I haven't felt particularly Christmassy despite my Christmas countdown app and twitter telling me its getting closer. After DDs birthday next week I may feel a little more festive, but I still have a fair amount to do for her birthday so that takes priority. I'm worried I may not be able to do her the cake I had planned as its a tad too complicated to do one handed. Hopefully I will be able to cobble something together that doesn't look to bad. She wont worry either way but once I have a plan I always need it to 'come together' a la The A team!
Free- sing that song............!
Hope everyone is Ok, hugs to the poorlies xxlovin' this site!

Wow lots of closet dolls housers lol. I first got into it in the 90s then sold everything and had a break but the past few years have become addicted again. If I can fathom out the whole photo thing I'll post some pics. FREE Your bakery sounds lovely and so does your American house MURIE. I find doing mini stuff quite relaxing although blooming expensive!
Well done FEISTY, I struggle to keep on top of the housework and there's only DH and me!
0462 sorry to hear about DD,personally I can't imagine anything worse so hope she's back to her normal self very soon. She sounds very brave to me. I hope you're soon feeling better too, these illnesses can really affect you for a while so hope you can get some rest.
FREE if it's any consolation the prep for the procedure is the worst bit, the procedure itself us a doddle compared to that, just have the sedation and it'll all be fine before you know it. Sending you positive vibes.
Did I tell you I've got a wig? Well I have because although my own hair won't all fall out with the chemo it'll just thin, my hair is very fine anyway and it's gone like fluffy wool or candy floss. I've got used to wearing it now and wish I'd got one years ago although they've improved a lot in recent years so maybe not. Anyway, at the hospital today the nurse said to me I like your hair have you had it done? When I told her it was my wig she was amazed and said its the best one she's ever seen, she even had to touch it lol. Anyway, it really made me feel good because as an oncology nurse she's used to people in wigs so if she thought it was natural it must be ok. :TIt's the most wonderful timeof the year :0 -
Evening all,
I really think I need to start taking a tonic or vitamins. Ever since I had Laryngitis a couple of weeks ago I just cannot seem to get my energy levels up. I am exhausted after doing little things. Well its either my body getting over Laryngitis or since turning 40 my energy has started oozing out of my ears!
Chrissyg- that’s a fantastic price
Peppapig- No not sad at all, They sound amazing. I would love to see some photos please. They really do sound amazing, wish I had the skills to do that. I love Dolls houses!
Feistyfidget- Thank you I may well take you up on that. They are really amazing and im still in the stage of being completely amazed at everything it can do. Well done on your achievement, it does not sound silly at all. Totally remember the days after dd was born. How is Mr FF doing?
Not so good unfortunately:( his resting heart rate has sky rocketed to twice its normal rate at least twice today and I was on the verge of preparing to pack him off to the hospital. Hopefully he's not stuck out of rhythm again and it will settle. Thank you for asking x

I'd say that is a great endorsement for your wig! I think it's becoming the norm for people to wear hair pieces these days! I have a beautiful red one that is supposed to look like red dyed hair (which I used to have before DD and IVF) but I'm not brave enough to wear it as it definitely has that fake look to it, one day I will though!

Hi Chums
Yes Free I have been busy.Yesterday i took my new friend to Bakewell. We had a grand time, lots of touristy shops to wander.I did pick up some bits for DD2's stocking, emery boards in the shape of a cat and an eye shadow palette.I also picked up a Bakewell pudding, nothing like Mr Kipling's tarts. We then went on to the garden centre at Chatsworth and I bought more plants! a chocolate cosmos which does smell of chocolate and 2 lavender.
Today I have made flapjack and spent the morning getting stamps off bits of envelope.I am attempting to make tea light holders for our craft stall, something I have seen on pinterest. Also went to visit my Mum.
Oh dear Fiesty so stressful about your hubby. And poorly children 0462...Hope everyone feels better soon.
I can't believe you are back already Mrs I,time flies.
Another dolls house admirer here.My Mum made one years ago,she made tiny tapestry carpets and stuff.I never thought about decorating it for Christmas,I must suggest it.
Free this time tomorrow it will be over.I wish I could come and hold your hand. The nurses will do that anyway. When I had the camera down my throat they were lovely. They joked with me that I could go again anytime because I didn't fight them !
Tonight I am taking a new pain killer that I was recommended at the muscular skeletal clinic. It is pain killer and helps you sleep.Bring it on.

PS forgot to say my auntie had Breast cancer about 10 years ago and has continued to wear the wigs ever since as she loves them.Though i must be naughty and say one of them makes her look like Tina Turner.:0

Well the festive fairies are still here in our house! I noticed on Gold that they are showing quite a few Christmas sitcom specials so I had the ‘My Family’ one on yesterday! I’ve done loads of updating of my spreadsheet, I’ve even written out a massive food shopping list as we’re hosting this year. I went to a local market yesterday and picked up two Christmas cross stitch magazines for £1 with some lovely charts in it. Then I picked up a bag of wooden spools from someone on Facebook as I’m planning to make a Christmas wreath decoration for my Grandma that I saw in one of my magazines. My Grandma has sewn all her life so I thought it might be a fitting present. Although now I’m starting to think I want one and there’s other people I could potentially make them for! I follow a few home magazines on Instagram and they’ve been posting pics of different stores Christmas decorations for this year, it would seem lots of shops have a ‘Christmas in July’ event that showcases all of their Christmas goodies. Perhaps that’s why I’m feeling so festive!
Peppapig ah glad I’m not the only one! I used to be very strict about not watching Christmas films until November, but now I do let myself a little as sometimes I just need a bit of festive cheer to cheer me up. There are a core few though that I still don’t let myself until at least November! Glad to hear you’ve got tickets to Ab Fab, you’ll have to let us know what it’s like. A friend and I are planning to go the week after next if it’s still on. You’re dolls houses sound lovely! I’m glad you’ve found a wig you feel happy and comfortable with, some of them are so realistic nowadays! My friend had some wigs when she had breast cancer and you honestly could not tell.
Pinksteps Thanks for the Matalan heads up. I quite often go on websites and type in ‘Christmas’ to see what’s lingering around!
04624181 ooh your silhouette machine does sound fun! I have never had laryngitis but I have heard it can take quite a while to properly get over it. Try to rest and look after yourself. Your poor DD, I hope she is feeling a bit better today.
Feisty well done on keeping on top of your house! Now if you could just come and do mine which currently looks like a bomb’s hit it…:p Sorry to hear your DH isn’t doing so well, sending you lots of hugs.
freespirit I know you are going to be feeling really anxious about today, I know that won’t go away but sending you lots of strength and positive vibes. I hope it all goes well, you’ll be back home before you know it! Good luck, thinking of you. X
murie I know how you feel, I get really upset when I can’t do something I had planned even though quite often people don’t know about it so aren’t missing out! I'm sure you'll still do a wonderful cake.
vulpix oh I do love Bakewell, you’re transporting me back there! I’ve only been twice whilst on holiday but I do love it there. I hope your new painkillers work for you.0 -
Thanks CHRISSYG for the Superdrug free delivery heads up, i've just ordered a couple of stocking fillers from the 3for2 travel size range. My family are staying with us this Christmas so if they're under my roof they're getting a stocking!0

morning, l know l am home, cos it is raining, have had loads to do since l got back, DDs orthotics appointment, dentist and GP visits with her. DS2 ENT appointment, mounds of washing and ironing, catch-up visits to fave niece and DSIL and Big Bro, to see the babies, fill up the cupboards as they made Mother Hubbard's look like a 5star hotel! The only thing l haven't needed to do was the tubs and baskets of bedding plants as my lovely neighbour/friend took excellent care of them for me.xxxxx to her.
Free, l will be thinking of you all today and wishing you well, and with a positive outcome from the result. Feisty, you are marvellous, my house was never tidy when my lot were babies. Hope mr f also stays well.
0462... Hope DD continues to recover, enjoy your sofa day with her, (envy, envy, ) time with them flies past.
Vulpix, l have never been to Bakewell, but it is on the list.
Oh, forgot, also went to opticians, and have been told that l have the start of cataracts and what looks like it could become or turn into macular degeneration. Old age, eh? more conditions to declare on the travel insurance forms. Still, better than not being here. School run here l come, gerrup now, DGS!!!0 -
Morning all,
Thank you for the get well wishes for dd. The vomiting has stopped but she is still not so good. Temp is high, lethargic, sore tummy and very upset bless her. She is missing the Summer Fair at school today. All the children are dressing up as Kings and Queens as it’s a Royal Tea Party theme in celebration of the Queens 90th birthday celebrations. As you can imagine she has SO been so excited about it = Very upset little girl.
Free- Thinking of you today big hugs to you xxx
Murie- Hope dd birthday goes well. One handed cake making sounds like an Olympic sport.
Peppapig- Wow, that goes to show that your wig must look fantastic. I must say that some wigs look better than real hair. My mother in law is originally from Jamaica and she regularly wears wigs to protect her hair and she orders some online. It is amazing how the quality has changed over the last couple of years. I am using the time that my dd wants me glued beside her to catch up on pinterest ideas for Christmas.
FeistyFidget- So sorry to hear about Mr FF, hope he had a better evening and it settled down. My mum has AF and has had 2 cardioversions, she seems a lot better now and has even come off some meds. It must be so scary for you all. Big hugs and remember we are all here if you need a chat. I am trying to watch silhouette videos on youtube, how amazing is this machine? I am so in awe with everything that I do not where to start.
Vulpix-Sounds like you had a lovely time at bakewell. I was looking at stocking stuffers ideas last night on pinterest. Hope your new tablet worked and you get a good sleep x
Princesskitty29-Sounds like you had a productive day. The Christmas wreath idea sounds lovely. I tried to persuade DD to watch a Christmas film yesterday but she said no. I love the idea of everybody getting a stocking. We all have one at our house but was thinking of doing mini stocking with mini gifts in for table gifts. Not fully thought it through but wanted something different. In previous years I have done pots of gold, bags of gold, bags of fun ( which had loads of wind up toys that we did races with, jokes, charade cards etc)
Mrs I- wow talk about back to Britain with a bang. You have been busy. Sorry to hear about your eyes, hope you ok xx0
