Hello, number 105 here, reporting a second op for October, this time for £116.52 (so total for October is £266.52) and year to date is now £6515.20
Had some good news this week, have started the process to product transfer the mortgage (as my first fix - for 2 years - ends this month) and the OP efforts have now meant that they have me under the 60% LTV, so have been able to start the process to get a 5 year fix cheaper than i got the prior 2 years one.
Now that 60 ltv target reached have now decided to set my goals a bit further with the op's (as i find it helps having a few targets to get there, else the money gets spent on other non essential items lol) i am hoping now to see if i can continue enough o/ps to be able to finish the mortgage by end of 2027, shaving 8 years off the original term, so will see. Will definitely be up for a 2017 MFW challenge if there is one to help me along with this target.
As for this year I doubt there will be many OP's left this year now, as 1. i am very near the 10% limit for them plus xmas is getting all the more closer!!
Well done everyone for their OP's, congratulations on those who have reached their target and thanks again Lomcevak for the work you are doing on this one (ps i know its work but have a good time in San Fran!).MFW#105 - 2015 Overpaid £8095 / 2016 Overpaid £6983.24 / 2017 Overpaid £3583.12 / 2018 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2019 Overpaid £2583.12 / 2020 Overpaid £2583.12/ 2021 overpaid £1506.82 /2022 Overpaid £2975.28 / 2023 Overpaid £2677.30 / 2024 Overpaid £2173.61 Total OP since mortgage started in 2015 = £37,286.86 2025 MFW target £1700, payments to date at April 2025 - £1712.07..0 -
