So normally I take a rucksack as hand luggage with valuables such as camera and wallet and documents etc.
Can I still take a rucksack but 1 piece of hand luggage with meds and clothing for a short haul flight?
That depends on the airline/fare you've bought.0 -
Hmm thanks I'll look into it.
As I've never carried hand luggage for clothes I'll need a suitable case. Hopefully large enough for meds, clothes, camera0 -
But small enough to fit the airline's maximum dimensions policy.catoutthebag wrote: »Hmm thanks I'll look into it.

I frequently travel with hand luggage only and use a standard cabin size small suitcase. With careful packing i can get a weeks worth of clothes in there so im sure you will be able to get in everything you need.£2 Savers Club #156!

Looking for holiday ideas for 2016. Currently, Isle of Skye in March, Riga in May, Crete in June and Lake District in October. August cruise cancelled, but Baby due September 2016! :j0 -
Sp to clarify as never done this and I'm away this week :j
The big item I put in a clear bag into the tray with my repeat prescription slip.
Then what about toiletry? I plan to decanter face wash and shampoo into a plastic amber 100 ml marked medicines bottle. Will this be ok? As it's under 100 ml does it still go into plastic clear bag into the tray or remain in my backpack?
I don't want to mess up :eek:0 -
All liquids go in a clear plastic bag separately in the trayChange is inevitable, except from a vending machine.0

Ok thanks - does it matter if they're unmarked or will their machines detect if it'd a bomb, drugs etc? Ones a medicated shampoo for my scalp.0

I decant all my toiletries into bottles and pots so none are marked.
Only once did Security take one of the bottles away to test it.0
