Today I am grateful for dd + little friend playing so well for a couple of hours, for a working washing machine, for trying out a new indian recipe and finding it was sooooo tasty, for tracky trousers that hide a multitude of wobbles, for a lovely fri3nd passing on a bag of clothes for dd.

Sorry Apple but not me for February. Work is a bit difficult at the moment and I don't think that I could give the thread my full attention. Sorry.

  • Nsd 12 today, spent most of the day in a foul mood-not enough sleep plus my mother has seen a lot of years today.
My sil sent me home with a chunk of carrot cake because she's 'on a mission to lose the baby weight' which is a free thing to chalk up and means I don't need to bake today. I am going to try and have a run of nsd until Tuesday when I'm going out with a friend... which could mean an interesting meal on Monday for me lol.
I also used a referral code for graze from my sister yesterday which gives me two free boxes, rather excited for the first one due to arrive on Wednesday!

    Morning all,

I promise I will do another thread soon but next week will be too crazy for me to get my act together to do February.

Yesterday was a spend day as expected, I am having a weekend away at a friend's however I only paid for entry to an animal park (£4.50), some mini creme eggs and two jars of pesto on offer. So very low spend for a weekend away. I will almost certainly need petrol today to get home as I can't go the shorter direct route as I need to collect the dogs from my parents who are looking after them.

Yesterday I was grateful for; my parents dog sitting so I didn't have to pay kennel fees, my friend's hospitality in limvoting me to stay and feeding me and my other friend for treating me to a drink and cake when we were out. I am feeling like a very lucky girl :)

  • Oops...just realised I didn't post last night.

    Hi everyone!

Yesterday was a spend day as I did weekly shop. Was going to order my flavoured coffees, but thought better of it and decided I can get cheaper coffee for work and can get a travel mug elsewhere. Did lots of baking with DS so we have been munching cookies and fairy cakes.

DS is playing rugby today, the first match in a long time due to weather. Have no plans to spend so should be another NSD.

Hi all. Not sure if I posted yesterday or not. Me and DH got out cycling yesterday and I got some washing dry on the line. Also baked a cake with the kids. Had to call at Asda for a couple of ingredients for the cake and some for DD's food tech lesson (she has to take all ingredients in as per a recipe - right down to 1tbsp of brown sauce - teacher is obviously insane) but this came from the food budget.

I have to put gas in my car today which will see off the last of the fuel budget, DS is playing football and DD is riding, I have a couple of outside jobs I want to get done whilst it is fine, a cupboard to clean out and will try to get out for a run.

Hugs Fmess. I want this week to be over and it hasn't even started. Now have my ankle strapped up as well as in a support bandage. Still aching and not really done much - gone through my entire material and embroidery stash as mum wants two small blue cushions to put on her bed (I've warned her you have to take them off every night and put them back, I saw the 'debate' about them on Steve Wright and still remember the scene from 'Coupling').

I've also got out a selection of tools for tomorrow and some bits that might be useful (I have a padbolt that is going on my back gate when i get round to building the gate but it could be used to lock a cupboard at the bungalow to hide stuff we don't want mum's partner to get at (not being mean, he has Alzheimers and has recently started to mess with paperwork or pick things up and move them - lost mum's glasses for 3 weeks).

Have just sent another e-mail (well two because they send an automatic response and require a second response before they bother to read the e-mail) to my old (soon to be ex) energy suppliers. I sent emails on the 4th (detailing errors in the last bill and giving them the completion date on the house) and 9th (confirming completion date, giving final readings and details of new owners - they keep asking for change of tenancy details) and they are still getting things wrong.

Have calmed down by watching video of pandas playing in the snow.

Still feel in limbo - until I have confirmation that each cc debt has been paid in full (forget my credit score - defaults will still be on my credit report for six years despite only having two months of token payments and years of paying/ over paying) and all the accounts from the other house are settled and my tiny nest egg is finally mine (Thursday fingers crossed) - I don't feel able to move on.

Definitely sign me up for running the thread in March. I am going to be firing on all cylinders by then. Cue Chumbawumba. Don't think I slept well - kept remembering things. Beauty hasn't got a star - Beauty is a mis-named doll. She has no nose because my mother nibbled it off when she was a child but Beauty will have to go to the bungalow so I must make sure she has the right star before someone throws her away. Spoke to mum earlier and she is giving me things to remember as well (in case she forgets again).

Not sure I can cope with mum's partner's family en masse. I did Fridays at mum's for a while and twin grand-daughters plus partners, 2 children and two dogs was too much at times. They are not quiet people.

Thanks mothernerd - I am getting really excited for you getting your money and can only imagine the relief that you will feel. You really deserve that peace of mind.

Today has been a spendy day as I needed petrol, I also popped into the supermarket to look for YS bargains - only found eggs for 30p and some bread for my sister for 10p. Got a couple of other bits so I should be able to have 5 SFDs this week and then have a planned spend day next Saturday.

Just about to go and visit my family for the evening and get a free meal :)

Hope you all have a good evening
