Of course you can, I have added you to the spreadsheet, you are #30
Did you want to add a target?
Westie983
Thanks Westie! No, I'm not going to set a target, simply aim to transfer whatever will round me down to the nearest £5 or £10 into a savings account every FridayLet's see what I can achieve by the end of 2016...

Do you want to set a target for the year?
Westie983
I wouldn't even know where to start with a target to be honest. I think this year I'll just see how it goes and then next year I'll set a target... if that's okay?My debt free diary

Ooo I like the daily challenge but I think I'll definitely do it backwards for the interest reason. Might as well get as much free money as possible! My debt free diary

I think the daily savings thing is sort of a good idea if you just want a challenge, but if you're trying to save and you're able to do it why not do the full amount every month? Also advice I've read is to do it backwards: you're more likely to do the difficult bit at the beginning of a challenge when it's "all downhill from there", and you're getting interest on a much higher amount.
I have found that doing this challenge it makes me save more. Yes i can afford to save £52 a week possibly but i tend to find excuses why i can't transfer that much and if i've set myself a goal of £52 if i can afford it i pot nothing rather than what i can afford.
I know it sounds ridiculous but that's how my brain works. What makes it worse is that i know i'm doing it.
So anyway, doing it this way forces to to pot each week and i'm happy with the total at the end
Thank you for the advice about doing the penny challenge backwards. I think that's what i'll do.Crimson_Addict I have updated your total as well, you are doing amazingly, what a great inspiration to others, keep that momentum going
Thank you so much. I am determined this year to get my savings back on track and to get fitter. We have a lot of walking holidays planned so i need to feel like i'm not all spend spend spend this year!!
Nothing to add. There will be more next week

A paltry 19p for me. I am awaiting a Quidco cashback payment which will go straight in, but I haven't received it yet. It's paid by BACS so I doubt I'll see it until Monday now.
Well done, I have added to the spreadsheet and await your quidco payment in next weeks update.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the Banking & Borrowing, and Reduce Debt & Boost Income boards.
