Hmm could 3 know if I swapped SIM between phones?

Again probably a daft question.... I have a N6280 on contract. Jut phoned 3 to see what deals available on the N95 on upgrade to be told "none in stock" (Rubbish, it is available to buy as a new customer!). If I bought the £28 talker option (with quidco and the £25 credit to account and ref a friend if I could manage that…

Recently got a contract with 3, was the LG U300 phone, not used that phone, put the sims straight into a unlocked/debranded Vodafone SE W850i.....had no problems except getting the settings onto the W850i .

Funny thing is, they recently sent a welcome pack which has a picture of the W850i on it....I think its just coincidence that the phone picture they use is that
