What have you had removed from EBay ?

That's another one I've sold successfully in the past but wouldn't try nowadays. I also sold a German WW2 era satirical paper/ magazine years ago, which was swastika-free but did contain propaganda of a sort that might not be tolerated nowadays even in a historical item like that. I sometimes wonder if certain issues of the Daily Mail, both historical and modern, might fall foul of eBay's offensive and racist material policies.Ah yes books- there are several Enid Blyton ones that you can no longer list- plus an Agatha Christie one if it is old enough to have the original title.0 -
My old (now long-retired) workmate listed a Burberry coat for a starting price of 99p and then wondered why it got removed.
I listed a genuine (had the label and everything) YSL men's coat. Ebay removed it citing VeRo and that i did not have the original receipt (coat was 16 months old).
Ended up selling it as my first ever listing on Ebid and got £25 for it (which was a lot more than any similar YSL coats had sold for on Ebay).
Knives, offensive material and ivory/bone I can understand and support the removal of completely.Never Knowingly Understood.

I had a listing running for a Hells Angel badge, Ebay removed it citing VeRo. I guess I got away lightly, I could've had the lads round asking for a donation.

I'm even more worried at the moment having had a bit of a gossip with a couple of other dealers I know. They reckon ebay have recently pulled listings from both their shops under the 'duplicate listing' policy, even where the listings were not the same.
I obviously don't wish to say what they sell, or what I do- but it is very possible to buy a box of items in a similar vein at auction- lets say glass table salts- and list them all individually with slightly different titles and entirely different pictures (of course).even having slightly different wording in the titles isn't enough apparently and can trigger the duplicate listing policy. One of the dealers did get some reinstated after 6 weeks of arguing, but one can't get ebay to budge.
The listing titles were different, but all the basics were the same, as they are all same century, all glass salts etc- just slightly different patterns. One has tried to pin ebay down on how much of the title must be different- and was basically told that just one or two different words is not necessarily enough to be safe, nor is a SKU number .
It's a real minefield as I very often buy a large box of near identical items and can't afford to wait 5 years to list them all one by one- and thought a different pattern or size would be enough to be entirely safe.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. A blow-up-doll. furry handcuffs and 3 bottles of baby oil.
Only kidding...
Really I've had a genuine GUCCI watch removed as a fake when it was 100% genuine and my left over give up smoking pills which I had left over from giving up smoking way back on my personal account when I was completely not clued up on eBay.
Have since become a real expert in spotting things hidden on eBay that shouldn't be there.Warning: any unnecessary disclaimers appearing under my posts do not bear any connection with reality, either intended, accidental or otherwise. Your statutory rights are not affected.0 -

I had 2 listings removed as duplicate listings. but in all fairness they were.....but when listing I got an uploading error and ended up listing the same item twice not knowing that it had listed the first time0 -

The way EBay works, you would probably be fine listing them :rotfl:You're only young once, but you can be immature forever

Not sure if this counts, but has just been removed from my Sellar Dashboard.
An INR item that was sent to Argos and not picked up. Which I found out later should not have been allowed to be listed as Click and Collect as item was not free p&p:)Always have 00.00 at the end of your mortgage and one day it will all be 0's :dance:MF[STRIKE] March 2030[/STRIKE] Yes that does say 2030  Mortgage Free 21.12.18 _party_Now a Part Timer from 27.10.190 -
Those countries are UN blacklisted countries due to number of reasons and recently Ebay got into trouble for allowing listings of items looted from Syria - not to mention they are sold to finance a certain terror organization.
Not all of them, the only country blacklisting Cuba, is the USA, but EBay think we all have to obey US laws however stupid they are.0 -
Old thread, but I found it mildly amusing that a 15 year old copy of lads mag Loaded got flagged as 'adult material' despite being listed twice before. Live chat just gave out useless scripted responses.0
