Don't know what's happening with myvegas...I've been following the reward refresh threads on facebook and someone said tonight they were refreshed and I looked immediately and I can't see any. I asked and the person said they saw refreshes on Luxor. Don't they refresh them all at once any more?

I'm looking for 2x Secret Garden and some GVR buffets etc.

We have been twice to secret garden and met Mr Siegfreid both times - but wouldn't go again if you paid me. Very few animals to see and I can't help thinking they didn't want to be there.
    The dolphin area is ok.

That would be a good saving, and a gamble I would take (assuming you would be fine with a basic room should nothing be available).

We keep looking at Vdara, but it is always just that little more expensive that MGM Sig. I can appreciate the new / designer element, but I am happy with the homely / lived in rooms at MGM Sig.

That's the key, to be happy with the first room you book.
Like you I think, I'd love to try another hotel and it's daft that we don't...we've been 4 times and always gone for the Vdara as it suits us really well. But I'm sure there are others which would too! :)

Didn't realise my all time favourite show in Vegas is finishing this year.

Jersey Boys finishes just after our September trip.
Anyone visiting Vegas before September 18 who hasn't seen it,and is looking for a show to go to,you could do a lot worse than see this.

I'm another one that loves the Sig. I've always wanted to try the Venetian. But the thought of one thing not being as good would have me comparing the whole holiday, lol, so I'd rather stay put. Of course the other thing I worry about is we last went 3 years ago. It was our first Sig stay. I hope It's as good as then when we go back next month. I cannot wait till Friday as I'll have exactly 4 weeks to go : )

i'm thinking the best way round it is to do a 10 night trip, stay 5 nights in a 'new' hotel first and 5 in the ol' favourite! :D

we've got a fave go-to European, all-inclusive, good value, on-the-beach bolthole which we book for an easy week away in the sun.

after 3 trips we're trying somewhere different for a change, eek!

We have tried a few hotels (MGM, Luxor, MB, MC, Venetian, Orleans), but feel at home at MGM Sig. The fact that we can have porridge for breakfast saves some $, and also our waistlines.

MGM Sig has not changed over the years imo, so you should be fine.

Not sure what room type you are in, but if you have a option of the one bedroom I really rate them. Entry level rooms are great, but I love the one bedroom for 2 reasons: 1) No other person is in a room directly next to the bedroom. 2) Having a separate living area is great if jet lag means you are both waking up a slightly different times.

Our favourite too. Glad we saw it in May because we won't get there before they finish. Have seen it four times now.

Hi l love reading all your reviews.

We are going for Christmas (the most expensive time l know) and are busy planning (I know it's ages yet but the planning is the best part). We are thinking of hiring a car and wondered if it is best to book one now and if so which company is best? We can't decide if we should book it for the week from the airport or a few days but then we have the problem of finding where we have to collect it from (this is only our 2nd trip).

I have also seen lots of people posting pictures of all the lovely things you buy to bring home eg sweets etc so wondering do you buy these on the strip or do you go further afield.

Sorry for all the questions and many thanks for all your advice.
