Brats,I have always found when we go twice in a year...I will have one holiday were I lose consistently .no wins no bonuses. Then on the second trip I can't go wrong and it's win win win.So here's hoping you are a winner in September!
9 days and counting for us and I am really hoping it's good fortune time for us!!

This is the 1st time in 5 visits my gambling is taking a beating :(
I always play Max bet on the slots, and always bang in $100 bill....

I have had some nice juicy wins, but stupidity of me after got the better, so bye bye money....

Wifey wanted to play on $5 tables last night, so I said Excalibur gonna be best bet...
I wont be going there again, lost $350 :(
The Blackjack table with $5, was using those machines I cant stand! Shuffle Master....
So out of every 8 hands the dealer got, she drew a '10' card, or an Ace, etc... 9th hand she might draw a 7 or lower, and then back to '10' cards.....
    Stupidly, we kept playing...
The same applied at the 3card poker table, no wins, apart from the dealer drawing flushes, pairs and straights, with a win every 3rd hand :(

Will make sure I play with the usual 'Shoe' from now on...
we going to Downtown tonight, so fingers crossed, I win some money.
Watched a guy in the cosmo last night (2am ish) playing average $1k a hand in Blackjack, and his pals playing $400-$600 hands, I whinced at seeing them lose, but they just laughed it off! If only I had the luxury !

    oh and weather....
it hit 109f yesterday, and was unbearable to sunbath in (cosmo)
Today it should reach 112f, and then news alerts on telly say Sat/Sun is gonna be upto 117f on the ground!

oh, and this is why my bag is always checked :D

our food bag always gets searched, too. Always. We have said before we should leave a little something in there labelled for the TSA guys, some sort of treat for them. :)

Stuie - I want to know the wraparound story...why are you making me wait?

Hope your luck improves! Many trips we find we have a 3-day slump...it most sucks when it comes at the end of the trip, but it's never fun.
Does remembering a time that a certain degree of personal responsibility was more or less standard means that I am officially old?
  • My bag only got searched once, when I'd stocked up on Yankee candles at the outlet in Orlando (four large for $36!!). I hadn't considered that candles look a bit suspicious when x-rayed :rotfl:

WAIT......... they have different flavoured M&M's other than chocolate & peanut ones??? Why wasn't I informed???
We always go to Walmart for packs of water & nibbles - we bought some sort of pretzel bits to try once, never again...yyeeuuchhh!! And what is so special about Twinkies? Anyway, I'll be looking out for those & we always buy a few packets of 'Lemonheads' and some BabyRuths chocolate, and a few packs of cinnamon gum.
I'm not a fan of Jolly Ranchers tbh, but what are those 'Peeps' things in the picture? I'm intrigued.

BTW, we arrive in Vegas on next Saturday - if the temperature is like the 117f forecast for this weekend, then it sounds a little bit too warm lol. Thank goodness for air conditioning. I've just told DH about it and he reminded me of the first time we visited in October 2001, when the weather forecaster said that the locals should consider wearing a jumper, 'cos it was going to be a cool 95f. Myself and DH were melting pmsl. Course anything is better than here, it's been a tad nippy hasn't it? :D
