So, as this will be our first trip to Vegas and as it's for my daughters 30th birthday just wondered what recommendations you experts can give us for Restaurants/Shows/things to do. We are staying at Signature MGM for 6 nights from 3rd September before flying to San Francisco for 3 nights staying at the Grand Hyatt Union Square.
For her birthday which is the 5th September we have booked the Grand Celebration Helicopter Tour which is a surprise, I have made a reservation at Joe's Seafood Restaurant which seems to get very good reviews although it's a bit expensive.
As it's Labour Day week-end we had to prebook to make sure we got her birthday sorted, now it's a question of getting the rest of the time sorted so we are open to suggestions.
Thanks.0 -
Seldom Kid, yes we have stayed at the Signature when we went in 2013 and like you see it as my home there now : ):A Your Always in my heart, you never ever will be forgotten-9/9/14:heart2:0

Raymondo111- im sure you all will love vegas there is lots of things to do and see !
as for things to do, it depends on what peoples tastes are as im sure you would be aware.I would recommend david copperfield at the mgm grand , he was excellent! there was a tix4tonight booth, ( for discounted show tickets/same day/night shows) they did have a range of different shows as well so something there for everyone..There was one pretty much 5 mins from the mgm grand so would not be too far from the signature i would think.
hope this helps!0 -

If you fancy something that combines both a show & meal, then I recommend the Tournament of Kings at Excalibur. Be warned though, it is a medieval thing, so you don't get a knife and fork, you just dig in with your handsThe food is ok though, and the Tournament/show is a lot of fun (try to get seats further back though)
There's tons of things to see/do. Just walking up and Down the Strip at night is fantastic, and there's plenty of shops as well. You won't get bored anywayHTH

I have mixed feelings about the place, but I'll be a bit sad to see it go. We didn't reckon much to it when we stayed there in 2004 (It was clean, but a bit dark, drab, and had a funny smell to it) but I did get my one and only hand pay in there in the 'Penny arcade' they had.
Seventy six whole dollars on Wild Cherry. That win bought me a pair of Levis and some SkechersSo good memories.
