Hi guys
I hope you are all well!
I've been meaning to message here for a while now just to find out if anything has changed. I last heard from the debt recovery company was in May I think. No calls and messages since then. Then all of a sudden out of the blue got a call yesterday but ignored it. Do I need to freak out?0 -
Nope.
POPLA have now apparently realised they were screwing up cases by finding keepers were liable without a NTK (doh - hardly flippin' rocket science!) so that doesn't happen any more, although they still fire out bizarrely awful decisions on several occasions.
Relax, you can't be held liable and if you get a court claim it would be in writing, not by phone (if you do get a debt collector wasting your time on the phone, put it down, block their number and do NOT discuss who was driving or anything at all).
Make sure you keep all the paperwork for six years and tell them in writing if you move house, showing your new address for service, to make sure there's no chance of missing (rare) court papers. Very defendable for a keeper who never had a NTK. POPLA failed you but that's not the end of the World and the fact remains you can't be held liable.PRIVATE 'PCN'? Great thanks as always for helping out. Dumb question but who do I need to inform of any address changes, I will get it changed on the license when needed but who else do I inform and how?0
-
You inform the PPC and the debt collector (if one is involved).
As well as changing the details of your driver licence with the DVLA, you also need to do a separate notification for your vehicle's V5C- there's no read-across one to the other.
Failure to notify the DVLA brings with it the potential for a fine (a real one, unlike your PCN) with a maximum penalty of £1,000.Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

Hey everyone, hope you amazing people are still here. Just an update. I was meant to complain to popla which it seems I haven't ( I thought I did) I will go through my emails again. I have also changed addresses how do I inform them of a change, what does the letter need to say? Also who do I need to inform (p4parking and TCN only?) Driving license and car address has been changed already. I got a call from tcn today randomly after ages, I actually forgot about them. He asked to speak to me and confirm address I said I'm not giving my address to someone who has called me so I'll call back, he got annoyed and said I'll fwd your case to the legal dept. Anyway I will complain to popla today but is there anything else I need to worry about now.
Thanks0 -

Sounds like you were talking to a failed double glazing salesman
Even if they had a legal dept, there is nothing a debt
collector can do

Hey you all ! I was just going through this thread again today. I did make a complaint to POPLA like it was suggested but it was after 2 years. If anyone is interested I can post it here. Also I can't remember if the address was changed with TNC and P4PARKING, so I'll do it soon bit should I be worried, I feel if I post them the updated address they'll just remember me again as it's been quite and I haven't gotten any calls from them. I did get a call today, I feel it was TNC but not sure I just didn't entertain them.
Thanks in advance0 -
You must email P4Parking's DPO as shown in their privacy page, telling them to erase the old address. Confirm your correct 'address for service'.
You are in danger of a default CCJ secretly ruining your credit file (by a claim going to an old address and not being defended by you) all the time you do nothing.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
