P4PARKING Notice

My lease says:
1- to park a private vehicle only at the premises
2- to park in the car parking space, garage or driveway allocated to the premises, if applicable.
Few more points which I feel are irrelevant.
Cameras are installed at the development and I do have a allocated space to park.0 -
You really need to read the NEWBIES thread... read it carefully and you may need to go through it 2 or 3 times for the information to go in. Learn the acronyms.
You will get help here, but the regulars don't have enough time to hold people's hands through the process.
Therefore, you will need to do some of the spadework yourself.
Go through the Newbies thread and try and write down in bullet points the steps you need to take, to help your understanding.
When it comes to the POPLA appeal, have a look round (use Forum search) for some recent appeals - especially those relating to people being ticketed in their own homes, put a draft together and post it on this thread for critique.
The learned amongst us will then help you fine tune it.0 -
That's exactly what I am doing right now, thank you0

@manuraheel - I think I may have accelerated you to quickly through the process. POPLA is a little way off at this point. You need to send away your initial appeal to P4Parking first, which they will inevitably reject, but provide you with a POPLA code. So actually working on a POPLA appeal at this stage is a little premature, but if all you're doing is a bit of reading, this will prove invaluable when the time comes.
In post #1 of the newbies sticky there is a ready-made initial appeal. Use that, do not add or take anything out - just use it word-for-word. But the key to this part of the process is to get your timing right on that initial appeal. Depending on whether the PPC wants an appeal electronically (send it around day 25) or by snail mail (around day 22, with free proof of posting from the PO) you need to hold back until the appropriate time. The windscreen ticket should give you details on how they want the appeal forwarded. Do not act hastily here.
The sticky explains why this timing is important. Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

Hello Umkomaas
Thank you so much for your reply. This forum is so helpful. Now that Ive read many posts about Parking notices I have noticed most of you are very active in helping out all of us. Honestly thank you all.
The link I have attached is a picture of the PCN I have received (its one I found online which is similar to mine, only difference the CODE : 201- No Parking Permit on visible display). I will also post pictures of the parking signs tomorrow, maybe you experts can point out something that should/shouldn't be on the signs etc

so Ive read the Newbies sticky and this is what I understand with a few questions too
1- I have checked P4PARKING is a AOS member with the BPA
2- on my ticket it says to pay within 14 days for a reduced charge. So should I appeal to the PPC on the 14th day or 22nd. Both days have been mentioned on the sticky so I am a bit confused. If i do appeal on the 22nd day and it gets rejected and if my POPLA is rejected too will I have to pay the increased charge? and if I make an appeal by the 14th day and it gets rejected and my POPLA is rejected too would I pay the reduced charge?
And I should make the appeal to the PPC regardless of receiving the NTK
3- Which way would be best to make an appeal to the PPC in this case Email or Post?
4 - It is the NTK which if I ever receive needs to be compared to the paragraph 8 of POFA 2012 not the PCN ( I received a windscreen PCN) right ?
5 - under the Postal PCN section is says " look for omissions in wording or late arrival of the NTK and include those points in you appeal" this is referring to the POPLA appeal right? so I don't need to worry about this until that stage.
6 - I have understood I should not add anything to the example appeal letter. Nothing like the car has a resident permit which doesn't need to be visible and the driver assumed he could park there as signs are not clear.
haha sounds funny even asking but have to ask.
Thanks once again, looking forward to all your replies0 -

If online or email appeal is offered, choose that and keep a screenshot.4 - It is the NTK which if I ever receive needs to be compared to the paragraph 8 of POFA 2012 not the PCN ( I received a windscreen PCN) right?5 - under the Postal PCN section is says " look for omissions in wording or late arrival of the NTK and include those points in you appeal" this is referring to the POPLA appeal right? so I don't need to worry about this until that stage.6 - I have understood I should not add anything to the example appeal letter. Thank you Coupon mad, I totally forgot about the PCN, been a busy few days.
So I wanted some suggestions. My partner spoke to the manager of this development, they had a long chat and he has suggested that we speak to P4parking and tell them the driver had his permission and now the matter is between you (P4parking) and him. Basically my husband said he doesn't want to pick up the phone and call himself because it puts him in a sticky position, but once we call and explain they'll get back to him, I dont know if this will work I am really confused now. Though manager sounds quite convincing and seems he knows what he is talking about.
My partner feels we need do this first, if we do decide to call how can I avoid telling them about the driver. Can I speak as the keeper of the car like i would if i emailed them?0 -
do not do anything yet ......
calling a PPC is frowned on .....
only ever write if you need contact
so wait and check for advice off the forum elders before proceeding
good luck

Thanks Ralph-y
We are just sticking to the original plan, going to appeal in a few days.
But you guys wont believe it !
I received another fine in the post for the same day ! This time the driver overstayed at a car park by 20 minutes while shopping at A&B ( not naming actual site as I am getting paranoid). Shopping there was the reason the driver had so many bags and ended up parking on the visitor bay!
This is so frustrating.
So I've had a look at the letter it says Contractual PCN, I did compare it to POFA and it seems everything is according to it but will go over it again.
As far as I am sure this site had no signs before entering the car park, I will visit it again to take pictures. I noticed the signs inside on my 5th trip there, they were so small or high up and seemed A4 sized!
I needed some advice, should I start a new thread?
The company is G24, on their website it says IPC and BPA, but when I check online they only come up on IPC.
I really don't want to get in to debt collection etc. I can deal with the BPA appeal etc as I feel more confident about appealing to POPLA.
But for a IPC PCN I am not sure. How can I attach a few pictures here I want to share a few with you guys.
The postal PCN was issued just before Christmas and I received it a week or more later so basically I got a week of the 14 day period to pay a discounted rate. They PCN is addressed to me as "Mr. Mrs. XXX XXX"
Thank you0 -
