P4PARKING Notice

I know I know, this has been discussed on the web hundred of times but I'm new to this and have absolutely no knowledge. I was just searching for this company and was surprised to find this forum! I know I can go and read the Newbie page but to be honest too much information confusing and overwhelming.
I was hoping someone could just explain me in points of all the steps I need to take, thank you in advance

So basically the driver lives in a gated community and I guess P4PARKING is in charge of parking there.
The driver had just come home from grocery shopping/gift shopping and had 10+ bags, so he/she decided to park on the visitor parking closest to their balcony so they could put all the bags there easily instead of going and parking underground plus after putting the bags in they had to go back out to pick up their daughter from nursery. They made 4 trips to the car and back last trip he/she obviously went into their flat with the bags, left them on the side so they could bring all the bags from the balcony inside, put away a few things as they were meant to go into the freezer. He/she must have come out after 10 15 minutes and saw a notice on the windscreen.
He/she was going to call them but they closed at 5pm and then luckily he/she came across this forum where everyone is saying not to appeal until a certain time. so please please please someone help him/her.
I should also mention all residents have resident permits here but his/her had slipped in between the dashboard and windscreen and was not visible at the time not sure if that would have made a difference.
if the manager at the concierge makes a request to cancel the fine is there any chance of it to be cancelled. I will ask him tomorrow as now its midnight. also would it be ok if i spoke to the p4parking representative who comes in to check and explain him my situation, will he be able to do something ?

HELP!

    Do not speak to PPC warden. Speak to estate manager explaining you were unloading.
  • Thanks, I did speak to the manager. He doesn't have the authority to cancel it anymore as he used to do it a lot before and the company complained of not making any money from this development. So now p4parking don't accept any requests of cancellation.
    Now what?

    Now what?

    Appeal and get a POPLA code. Kill it at POPLA

    Wrong on so many levels.

    1. Why did the manager have to put so many requests in? P4Parking issuing too many invalid tickets?
    2. Not making any money? They're there to manage parking, not 'make money' although we all understand the need to make a profit. Making a profit out of scamming legitimate parkers doesn't sit right with me though.
    3. They don't accept requests for cancellation anymore? So they are stating that they feel they must continue scamming people who are legitimately parked there.

    Time to get shot of P4Parking.

    It won't happen though.

    ^^ Excellent analysis MR. ^^

    @OP - you might want to write to the manager and cover these points, just in case he hasn't worked out what P4Parking are doing in refusing to deal with cancellations by the principal. Remind him of the 'Monkey and Organ Grinder'! He should be protecting his residents, not allowing P4Parking to harass them; they should be chasing off fly parkers, but I expect they've already done that, leaving only residents to provide for their cashlust.

    POPLA will kill this for you, so get on with your appeal to them. Post #3 of the newbie sticky will talk you through that stage of the process.

    first thing first, this is not a fine.
    Secondly what are the exact terms of your lease/rental? regarding parking

    Thank you all for your replies.
    Can someone tell me what does PPC stand for.

    @lamemanresu
    You feel this case has a chance to win, even though there are sign stating we can't park etc. To be honest it was quite dark and the sign where the car was parked wasn't very obvious.
    I'm just concerned that if I appeal and it doesn't get accepted I'll end up paying a lot more.
    On what bases do I appeal?

    @Half_way
    I will check today and let you know

    @manxred
    Haha, all are valid questions. Unfortunately I don't have the answers.
    Quick question, when people say they are scamming people what does that mean.

    @umkomaas
    I will go through post#3.
    How do I appeal to POPLA, how do I get this code everyone is talking about.
  • On the POPLA website is says they are changing, do you thin that would make a difference?

    But they are not there to make money, especially from residents. They are there to prevent the non-entitled from parking there. The Managing Agents will have appointed them and can cancel.

    Are you a tenant of a leaseholder? What does your lease/AST say about parking. If nothing, you can tell them to swivel.
