    Morning all :D

My plans to get loads of stuff done last weekend were stymied by not being very well, so the weekend passed in a haze of Netflix and tea.

I have a friend arriving on Friday, so the battle to clear out my spare room is now urgent and there is much to be done! I plan to at least make sure she has a path to the bed by Thursday :D

Small things I've done so far this week that are MSE in some way:

    • Redeemed a code for a free Simply Cook box. This might help make my meals more interesting! I'm going to cancel it before I get charged again though ;)
    • Bought my Friends of the Fringe membership for the Edinburgh Festival. It's £30 but easily saves me more than that over the course of the Festival.
    • Got a £1 lunch yesterday thanks to the O2 app.
    • I'm about to make a massive batch of chilli in the slow cooker before I go to work :D

Al sounding good there Mooo. I can well believe that Friends of the Fringe membership saves you plenty too, I do miss my trips up for the Fringe!

Hope you're feeling thoroughly recovered now and ready to tackle the spare room. Sure your friend will definitely appreciate at least an area big enough to sleep in! :D

It's still awfy busy here in Mooo Towers. I had a friend visiting all weekend and the Family Mooo arrive tomorrow for the rest of the week too  I've already had to explain to Mama Mooo that I can't see her every night because I have a bunch of Open University reading to get done :o

MSE list for the week is as follows:

    • Cancelled my Simply Cook box. It was nice, but not worth the money for me on an ongoing basis. Maybe next week I'll cook some of the recipes they sent :o
    • Had a £1 lunch from O2 on Monday, handy as I had forgotten to buy anything for sandwiches.
    • Had leftovers for lunch today, and very tasty they were too.
    • Bolognese tonight from my last big batch cook.
    • Booked my train tickets for London in July. £83 return for two - booked using a Two Together railcard I got with my Clubcard vouchers :money: We were going to go first class as a treat, but it bumped the cost up to nearly £200 so we decided not to!

Nothing there will change the world but it keeps me ticking over I guess.

I get paid finally on Friday. It's been nearly six weeks since my last payday thanks to the "treat" of getting paid early at Christmastime. Thankfully this month there's no council tax to pay, so I'm spending that money on a haircut and putting money aside for my next holiday which is looming fast.

Keeping on plodding, I suppose :D

We did our Two Together card through CC vouchers too! :T If your train travel is at the weekend you may be able to pick up a cheap Weekend First deal on the day if you're lucky.

Nice MSE list too - well done for remembering to cancel the Simply Cook box too. :T

  • Long month lovely - hang on in there with it all.

Awffy busy is a phrase I love.

Lunch here was eggs, again, you know, hens, free eggs, man sometimes I wish I had SOME imagination!

    Have a great week.
