I'm off work until the 5th of Janaury and I know it's going to be easy to let myself get distracted by Netflix and being a lazy moo :D

So, it's time for one of my infamous lists. I'll tick things off as I go on with them, but this is what I'd like to get accomplished by next weekend...

    • Two boxes of books to the charity shop
    • At least one bag of clothes to the charity shop
    • Reduce number of cookbooks in the house - add recipes to online file somewhere. I keep loads of recipe books for one or two recipes, copying the ones I actually use will save space and help me to declutter.
    • Organise the books I have waiting to be read on my Kindle. I can't resist a 99p book :o I really need to organise them somehow, but I also need to read up on how to do that for Kindle. As much as I love my computer games and so-on, I'm a real technophobe with some things.
    • Tidy/clean the kitchen cupboards.
    • Get all my excess craft stuff listed on local sale sites - better to sell it all for buttons than not be able to use a really good studying area in my spare room!

It's going ok so far :)

    • One bag of clothes ready for the charity shop (along with a couple of well-intentioned but unlikely to be used Christmas gifts :o )
    • One small box of books ready to go.
    • I've gone through the recipe books I don't use often and transferred the recipes I like the look of to an online recipe file. I've offered up the recipe books to friends and any that don't go will go in the charity box.
    • I have space in the living room bookcase for the first time in months now :D
    • I've also done two loads of washing this morning :A

I have not figured this out yet. I have, however, just bought another 99p deal of the day book. :rotfl::rotfl:

    Happy New Year

Hope you all had a lovely time, however you celebrated!

I've had a busy day today, even though I've barely left the house. I've written half of the essay that's due next week for the OU, done a load of washing and taken a bunch of photos of the stuff I'm wanting to sell. I cleaned the kitchen too and had a lovely cottage pie for dinner (I made that yesterday, this was the leftovers!)

My big expense of the Christmas season has been a lovely heated airer from Lakeland, thanks to Mama Mooo giving me some Christmas money. Hopefully it'll help with the traumas of trying to dry washing indoors in Scotland in winter!

I've got my budgets all lined up for January and have been busily filling in my new planner. I swear, the best bit of New Year for me is starting to fill in plans and ideas in calendars and diaries :)
