Cancelling a contract
I took out a 24mth contract with Three, about 6mths ago. I have been a Three contract customer since their launch in the UK in 2003.
However, in the 6mth since I took the contract, my work has moved me from the central belt in Scotland, to near Thurso.
This is the issue. I get no signal in the village I'm being put up in, and no signal at work. Basically, barring 10 minutes on the commute, I've no signal at all.
What are my rights with regards to cancellation.

You have no rights and are at Three's mercy.0

only rights is ask your employer to payDon't put your trust into an Experian score - it is not a number any bank will ever use & it is generally a waste of money to purchase it. They are also selling you insurance you dont need.0

You do have the right to ask for an early termination fee, it'll be calculated at your line rental x your months left, and a 10% discount if this wasn't your first contract.
From page 15 of your Price Guide.Lump sum equivalent to the total of all the monthly charges still remaining during the Minimum Term of your agreement less a discount of: (i) 3% for new connecting customers who are in the rst Minimum Term of their agreement with us; or (ii) 10% for existing customers that have upgraded or renewed their existing contract with us for a further, subsequent Minimum Term.

Is there no angle to approach with the fact I am paying for a service I cannot actually use at convenience, despite living in the UK.
Indeed to make a call in the accommodation I am in, is a 3 mile drive.0 -
There is no angle. No network guarantees 100% UK coverage. Usually you have a short cooling off period at start. If you aren't sure that you remain at the same location, don't take long contracts. There are 1-month sim-only contracts and PAYG for this.0

Well I would challenge that if I had too, 3% for a 'new' customer and 10% for a customer who upgraded directly with 3 seems a very unfair term given both are in minimum term periods of a contract.
Any 'previous completed minimum term' contract should not exist to cause a disadvantage to anyone wishing to terminate early, it's a re-contract afterall not a 'upgrade'.SO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... You will be leaving the UK aswell as Europe0 -

Can you use 3's wifi calling app ? http://www.three.co.uk/discover/three_intouch
3 is meant to roam to Orange (EE) where no 3 signal exists, or was...hard to find any info out if this is still in place. It was in 2010/11 where I could get calls and texts on Orange out in the sticks where my old man grew up.
Also worth checking if 3 actually says you should have coverage http://www.three.co.uk/Discover/Network/CoverageSO... now England its the Scots turn to say dont leave the UK, stay in Europe with us in the UK, dont let the tories fool you like they did us with empty lies... The problem the OP has is that there may not be ANY decent coverage with ANY provider in the area he resides / works. Three / EE have some of the best 3G coverage in Scotland - O2 and VF lag in many areas with little more than unusable 2.5G services in some of the smaller towns. Working 3G and seamless, crystal clear WiFi calling was the reason I jumped to EE and switched to Three for the kids.0 -
Three still roams onto EE 2g in parts of rural mid wales - Id assume the same for rural scotland.0
