    I have got multiple copies of "Spoilt" (punchlines to lots of films) and "We do WHAT?" (Bird to bee) to give as Xmas pressies.

    Just as I read this, I thought of the ideal person to give "Spoilt" to and I grabbed the last mens large in stock! Phew!

    Sonnie!!!!

    I hope you didn't mean you bought 10 shirts in one single order! Because if you did I think you had better cancel it - the maximum is 3 shirts ($30) or you're liable to get slapped with some hefty customs charges!

    To be fair, if you're placing a massive order, then the import duty will probably be negated by savings on postage.
    ::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::
  • I know that some folk have complained that these shirts aren't the absolute cheapest and places like Primark are cheaper, but please remember that the shirts (the American Apparel ones at least) are made in the USA by workers who get decent wages and benefits like healthcare. If you factor the 'human cost' into your purchase, even with any potential customs charge these are well worth it! I ordered several last year during the sales and have ordered five for Christmas pressies this time around.
  • Really? I'd have thought, especially with the Fruit of the Loom ones that constitute the majority of their T-shirts, that they were made in Mexico or Latin America for Hispanics on a dollar an hour :confused:

    i think that is why magpie prefaced their comments with "The American Apparel ones at least"
  • Is there anything saying that the American Apparel ones are guaranteed to be made by fairly paid workers? Not trying to be difficult here, it's just that most clothes in America are made by poorly paid Hispanic workers in Latin America - cheap labour exists everywhere in the world.

    What makes you think American Apparel t shirts aren't made in the USA

    I'm officially too ashamed to tell anyone how many shirts I've bought now :(
