  • I went into Primark on the weekend and picked up 3 funky design T-shirts reduced to £2 each.

So before buying from overseas, check the UK bargains first!
  • I've been using Threadless for three years now (20+ shirts so far) and I love them - and I've yet to be stung for import tax! **touch wood**

As yet, I've not had a reason to return anything - but the sizing can be a little erratic. As a skinny chap with a slight curve to my belly (beer related!), most tees have had the right fit, but one or two have been a little bit tight around the tum. Aside from that, the site is great, and the tees are cheap even when the regular sales aren't on.

Another site to think about is https://www.jbox.com *, which sells all manner of wacky Japanese items and Japanese-themed t-shirts, which have some pretty awesome designs. I've ordered from them many times, and their tees are generally thicker/higher-quality - but they don't tend to have sales.

    * Jbox has a 'sister' site called Jlist that actually looks exactly the same, but that site also carries items of a slightly naughty nature, so make sure you go to the right one if you're at work!
Mint £869, Virgin £1,403, Create £1,675, More Than £1,533, Capital One £1,290, Mint Loan £10,316, Tesco Loan £3,529, Barclayloan £3,187, GE Capital £150, Barclaycard £190

Currently on track to be debt free in March 2009! (Not taking into account the £2000+ in charges I'm claiming back...;))

The T's are good quality, I've a couple which are still going after 2 years.

Customs wise, I used to order in batches of 2 in the sale, but with the weaker dollar you might push this to 3 like windowlicker suggests.

I'm glad to see MSE'ers fashion sense seems to be getting better, the first time I saw a threadless sale posted it was flamed down in a chorus of "£7 for a t shirt??? I can get 5 for a quid at asda" and the like...

I'm expecting my first born in december, so keep eyeing up the onesies...

Jaffacakes: How odd - all my orders have come to $40.63 for three t-shirts. Where is it being shipped to?

alanclose: I've had shirts arrive in a week before. But as it's sale time, they're terrifically busy (and you can see by how fast the shirts are selling out) so it might take a little longer.

Latest update: 14 shirts this sale.

Dear god. But I'm done, I'm done.

    (for now)
  • Don't usually like to wear t-shirts with writing/design on them as it seems to give people an excuse to stare at my boobs  but these look like so much fun that I have ordered 3 (Communist Party, Everybody loves a Yeti, and In Case of Zombies) - had to take a blind stab as regards size as it's my first order with them - am a size 18 but like my t-shirts to be fairly close to my body so i went for men XL - hope I don't have to send them back. Cost inc shipping came to $42.46 (I live in Hertfordshire).

I've got into a tangle too, trying to buy both adult tees and kids on the same order.

The trick is to keep out of threadlesskids.com. Make sure you stay on just threadless, then show all shirts in all sizes, that way the site's software allows you to add both kids and adult shirts to your basket.
    ::Quidco.com - £1100 in 11 months. Kerr-ching! ::

I have got multiple copies of "Spoilt" (punchlines to lots of films) and "We do WHAT?" (Bird to bee) to give as Xmas pressies. Sign up for the newsletter and you get notification of reprints of the most popular designs.
Just paid $40.10 for 3 (Somerset).
"Cheap", "Fast", "Right" -- pick two.

My three t-shirts equated to £19.44 deducted from my card - so hopefully no customs charges
