Tuesday 15th December - What Small DFW things will you do today?

When we start out on the DFW trail we do loads of "big stuff" that makes quite a difference to our situation. These include having our lightbulb moment, cutting up the credit cards and cancelling Sky and the gym .
But once we have done the bigger stuff, we often feel that we are not making the same amount of progress, when in fact the small steps are helping us form good financial habits and helping us get closer everyday to staying in control and becoming debt free, or staying debt free.
Examples could be hanging washing out instead of using the tumble dryer or leaving your purse/wallet at home to avoid the risk of spending.
So be proud of those small steps, they really are important!:money:

Morning everyone

End almost in sight - 3 more get ups!
Hope everyone is ok, this is a quick one from me this morning as I have a load of stuff to do. I have noticed over the past week that if I don't write stuff down then I just can't get anything done - my brain doesn't remember things well enough... So here is today's list
:A check banking
:A balance budget
:A text a friend
:A chase risk assessment for my trip tomorrow
:A try and write some Christmas cards
:A full day of teaching
:A mark a set of books
:A knitting
That will have to do for now - time for me to get to schoolNot giving up

morning  thanks for starting the thread cat. Let's have a bit of healthy competition and see who can write their Christmas cards first! I literally have a handful to do but still haven't done them
Ok cat have just checked and we have until Saturday to get these posted 2nd class
75% done
Working this evening and have a ms assignment to do today. Planning to shake myself into gear soon and go off and do the assignment as it'll take a couple of hours and don't want to do what I always do and leave it until the last minute and then get all stressed!
Want to flylady the lounge and kitchen - probably won't get both done but I can hope! kitchen done
All meals from stores. Need to eat early before I go to work, have some los from last night's dinner that I'll have and oh & dgd can have a pizza
checked banking & worked out cc spends for the last month. Looks like GC budget is going to come in under budget
Need to organise my admin/receipts etc as things are getting out of control! Will use envelopes from post to file receipts
Also need to update my ms ss as I haven't done it for a while (will need this come the end of the tax year so a bit of organisation now will save me a headache down the road)
See if I can tighten the overflow pipe in the bathroom. The repair I did has made a huge difference but it's still leaking a little bit
Contact dd to see if she's intending on coming to contact tomorrow
nip to aldi's and pick up a few bits, write list & stick to it!
Ok that's the things I need to get done. Have a great day xDF as at 30/12/16

Morning everyone. Time to post this morning as I've booked a days holiday :j
Today I have:
Go for a run - done already - went whilst everyone was in bed
Check banking, pay money from customer to CC, profit will be my PAD for today
Visit 3 friends and drop gifts and cards off
Wrap last few gifts
Contact BG and ask for my £2.32 that my account was in credit when it closed :rotfl: having said that will go on CC when I get it
Meal plan for between now and Christmas
Try and work out best way to track my business spend on CC - I buy the goods and then pay it off when customer pays so i don't want to add it to my debt amount as it goes in a week, but when I overpay it doesn't add up on my spreadsheet. Also if I put it on and take it off when I pay, it increases my debt amount and messes up my % paid.
Joing the Christmas card writing race :rotfl: I've only got a couple to post but have no motivation to do it
Enjoy your day everyone.

Morning all
No news of import from my neck of the woods. Credit card bill arrived from my holiday. Not a surprise, but really did I need to spend so much!!!! Feel very chastened and out of control. All for me, not gifts or anything excusable. Just ME! Impressive what I can spend with very little encouragement.
Have pruned Christmas food delivery down to £80. I bet I will still have waste. There are 4 of us for lunch on the big day and then 3 of us for the week. We will be eating yummy stuff until 28th when Mr t arrives again with pasta and normal stuff.
December have been very frugal.
Speak soon

maria I was thinking of you and thought the idea of a fiscal fast might help you reduce your stocks of food/wastage?
