Sorry for the late update - I work in a school and it's been all carol concerts and shows etc. this week!

Daniel replied and basically said they weren't literally the same word for word and the judges ruling is final. I didn't lose my rag, there's no point, but I DID say that I suggest they change the format of the entry form so people can't see other people's entries.

I'm an honest person and I don't believe that anything you gain by negative means will ever do you any good so I'm just going to let it go. It's because of this philosphy I can never watch "Goldenballs" on TV because it upsets me when people steal at the end! :rotfl:

Still a bit of a coincidence, It may not of been the same word for word, but the idea for the caption was

An appropriate response from the Mirror, perfectly in line with the T&C's

The requirements were

Submit a caption

The winner did that, did not break the terms and conditions and neither did the Mirror with their selection of winner.


(Yes, I would feel aggrieved as well but the rules were not broken)

I agree - which is what I said to "Daniel". I would like to think they would take my suggestion of changing the method of entry to stop this happening again.

If they don't change the T&C's or entry method then entering last minute makes it harder to be ripped off.
