Hi Can I join please? Did this for about 3yrs and saved £515 without even trying.
Will aim for £200 by December.

    Thank you.

    Welcome petsitter2000.
I'm out at the moment so will allocate you a number later. Good luck with your target.

I've been saving all my loose change and bunging in a tin at the end of each week. Started separating out the £1 and £2 coins just before Christmas - Don't get that many £2 coins, so it will be interesting to see how many I can collect over the course of a year.

One more saving trick I want to try is to keep all the £5 notes that land in my pocket - Couldn't find a Fiver Saver's Club, so I guess I'm on my own on that one.

Treasure the moments that you have. Savour them for as long as you can for they will never come back again.
  • Hello, I'm off to a slow start, but I've got my first £2 in the tin today.
  • Found 3 coins in ds's room, so after a quick swap over, I've now potted them :).

    Hi FreeBear,
You could always lead the £5 nite savers club yourself and see if anyone wants to join you. I'm sure someone on this post has already talked about collecting plastic £5 notes.

    I am not a number, I am a Free Bear !!

Off to a cracking start - Had a rummage & clear out and found 34 of the little blighters. :j

Also counted up the £1 jar - 109 of them. Would have been 115, but one is a lead fake and I had to pull out another five for a bag of cement.

In all, a good start seeing as it was only three weeks ago I had emptied the coin jars and weighed them in (7.5Kg).

Got another in the self service machine on Saturday - actually squealed with delight when I seen it! Total £12
    #27 £2016 in 2016 = £763.61

    #42 £2 Savers Club = £160

*Savers Club not included in overall 2016 savings until the tin is opened and my estimates have been confirmed later in the year.
