waities wasn't so great. i missed the bargains apart from one roll of wrap that i liked for 10p & a couple of packs of tags for 10p a pack
an old lady was telling me that they were selling all the xmas chocs & stuff this morning for 10p but they were still charging 62p for mince pies & £3.50 for panatones this evening  i noticed the tubs of twiglets, nuts, etc still have been reduced
 Happy Bargain Hunting!! :beer:0 -
Thanks OP for the McCoys. Have managed a couple of shops to keep us going. Check the life on your packs. he ones at the back were 16/1. The ones at the front were end of Feb. Very poor stock rotation in that store. No beef ones for me which are my favorites.
Beautiful puppies Rose. Must not let DD See them!0 -
Had a catchup and now going to have some tea, I'm really hungry today
Still have plenty of crisps as we don't eat them very oftenThere's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0 -

Nothing 10p in mine.
Got the jammie dodgers tin scanned and that was still £3.
Someone in front of me at the till had a couple of the big panetones and they went through for £4.50 less than the SEL of £10 and £15 though.....
Better luck in Sainsbobs I got 2 of the stilton halves for £1 each. And I feel better the 30p truckles are half the size of the 60p ones I got the other day.
;)
Sainsbob had 900g tubs of Jacobs for £2.50 if anyone is looking for biscuits for cheese.

:hello: It's not right! With all the missing multis, how can I end up with a correct comparison like this (on a womble:D)?
1x Uncle Bens Mixed Pepper Microwave Rice (250G) £1.00:( £1.00
1x Uncle Bens Mexican Style Microwave Rice (250G) £1.00
£1.00
Vs T
And how can they be cheaper with this?
1x Carling Lager (20X440) £12.00 £10.00
1x Tetley Original 240 Tea Bags (240PK) £3.00 £4.99:(
1x ASDA Chosen By You Curry Paste Tikka (200G) £1.00 £1.39:(
Vs M
1x ASDA Refresh Shower Gel (250ML) £0.75 £0.67
It's paying for shower gel, however I notice bubbs mentioned some in M at 67p earlier so just to let you know that you can get 10% off, on this one at least, if you buy right and if you are shopping outside Northern Ireland.:cool:0 -
:eek: keep an eye out for those jammie dodgers over the next couple of days then i bet they'll reduce themNothing 10p in mine.

I know I should, but I don't........not even buildings insurance.
I always used to say that if someone broke into my house, they would feel sorry for us and leave us some furniture!
:o:o:o
:eek::eek: Even if you're not bothered about contents, you should definitely get buildings at the very minimum. So many things that could happen that could destroy your house; flood, fire etc. And even if you think your furniture isn't up to much, think of the practicalities if, for example, your house did burn down. Beds, white goods, sofa, carpets, clothes. Its a false economy not to be insured in my opinion.
I remember when I was a young teenager and a family in our street had their house burn down due to a chip pan fire. They weren't insured and it was an awful time for them.
that is not MSE, that is plain silly ! If you have a mortgage, I believe you are breaching the terms without buildings insurance at minimum (and could have your house repossessed if they found out?) - and whether mortgaged or not, if it burned down you would not be able to replace it or anything in it!
False economy I am afraid, in my opnion. There are generally some good deals when you take into account TCB/QC cashback alongside any deals.
And we never leave our door unlocked either - it is habit to lock it when in (partly to stop little Anon's escaping but also to stop sneak thieves - these are not safe times to leave your door unlocked
).

Totally agree. If there was a fire you would need to rebuild the house! Assuming you have a mortgage and you live in a house not flat, building insurance is essential.
If nothing else, go through quidco/ tcb and pick one with the cheapest premium and/or highest cashback, but get something in place.
Anon got there first, but worth saying again. Please sort it for peace of mind.
Agree with this too. House insurance really isn't that expensive, especially if you go through a cashback site. With cashback, mine ended up being around £85 this year. Worth if for peace of mind (but you would need to start locking your doors!
