I did 2 shops today on self serve and used an apg of about £4.50 on each of the shops no problem. First time i have scanned them myself and was very impressed. My niece did a shop today also and she used 2 apg's on the one shop. One apg was over £7.0 -
Forgot to update on DD'S dog's pups. The one that was ill was taken to vets on Xmas Eve and given antibiotics even though vet said she was not sure if she had an infection. Anyway DD is still bottle feeding her ( twice in night aswell! good practice for when baby comes ) and in 8 days she has put on over 125grammes and is now 438gms. However her fat older sister is past 1kg and the other one is about 800gms. I will try to put some pics up later as they are so sweet.
So to all the people who made suggestions when littlie was struggling thanks.
Cant wait to see the pics0 -

I know I should, but I don't........not even buildings insurance.
I always used to say that if someone broke into my house, they would feel sorry for us and leave us some furniture!:o:o:o
that is not MSE, that is plain silly ! If you have a mortgage, I believe you are breaching the terms without buildings insurance at minimum (and could have your house repossessed if they found out?) - and whether mortgaged or not, if it burned down you would not be able to replace it or anything in it!
False economy I am afraid, in my opnion. There are generally some good deals when you take into account TCB/QC cashback alongside any deals.
And we never leave our door unlocked either - it is habit to lock it when in (partly to stop little Anon's escaping but also to stop sneak thieves - these are not safe times to leave your door unlocked).

Just come back from A's and was very busy. So thought I would brave the self scans as usually avoid them. Scanned everything ok but when it came to putting in the APG's got in a right faff but the SA was great and talked me through it. I put 3 through. One was for £6+ other two were about £2 each. She had to manually put one of the £2 ones through by typing the numbers. It was a faded womble one, so was worried maybe it had been used before but was ok.
I went to get some Birds eye Beef burgers as OH wanted some. Shows on msm and a.com as £1 for pack of 4. They are £1.45 there. Asked for them to be scanned as thought the sell might not have been changed but they scanned as £1.45  Had to get one packet or oh will go mad. Just hoping it compares against M as that shows as £1 on msm.
Managed to get some nice Cornish brie 1kg for £1 :T So pleased with that. Have sliced it up and frozen most of it. So thanks to TS for that.0 -

Good to hear it worked for you.
Out of interest, and sorry if already discussed/reported, but is there a voucher value limit on the self-scans before it needs another level of authorisation (I know the maximum value for a voucher to be produced is £100 according to the T&Cs, and for the old voucher system anything above £9.99 needed to be typed in), or with the new set up can you scan the voucher and the receipt yourself up to any value on self-scan and not need staff at all?
Many thanks

Where the new system is in force, any APG up to and including £9.99 can be done by yourself, with no SA required. Anything £10+ needs SA (not SV, at least in my stores) approval. You can use multiple APGs where the sum of them is greater than £10 without needing approval too. Just make sure they all come up in the 'approved' column when paying. The process itself is super simple, just scan the long barcode, and then scan the barcode at the bottom of the receipt.0
