All this talk about how to frighten burglars off, this country has the wrong idea.

In a few countries in Africa, if someone breaks into your house then they have to be desperate because they lose all rights when they do so, you can kill them with no repurcussions. Of course that means that a lot of the time they pump gas in before they break in but at least that means the occupants are normally unhurt.

Maybe if that was the case over here people would be less inclined to break in.

Burglars generally tend to break into your house during the day whilst you are at work in South Africa. My house got broken into 7 times in one year, which is why I decided to pack up the few belongings I had left and move to the UK.

Alternatively, they poison your dogs and kill the residents whilst they are sleeping, which is what happened to a neighbour ...

I have been pick pocketed in this country on one occasion, three years back whilst picking up a Tesco Direct order. And my second experience of being robbed was when my car got broken into whilst parked at the station. I had a soft top Vitara, which the burglar simply opened the soft top part of, removed the car radio without damaging the dashboard, and closed the soft top bit again.

Which is why I am not overly concerned about burglars here ;)

got a SA to scan these in a's & they scanned at £5.50 in our a's :(

strange things were happening in a's today  brie SEL was £3 & parmeggianno was £4 but hubby took them to self serve checkout & brie was coming up at £1.50 & parmeggiano at £3 so we only put 2 bries in our trolley. we got to the till to pay & brie was coming up at £1 so got hubby to go back for parmeggiano & that went through the till at £1.25 :j:j:j:j thanks TS :kisses3:

Pleased to hear you got some cheese cheery. :T

I meant to reply yesterday about the strange pricing it was similar to what I mentioned the day before with the little cheese truckles that a SA checked price for me 30p and they put a SEL up that price and by the time I got to till about quarter of hour later they went through for 10p.

I wonder if the tills are linked to a central system or something. Wondering now if the report over on HUKD of people getting price of the Ferrero's checked if they had actually bought them would they have gone through at cheaper price.....

Remember, whether it is showing or not now is (almost) irrelevant - it is what it was showing n APGland that is important and that was locked in earlier today ... the challenge is knowing exactly what that price was and what time it locked in :D.

i disagree, the challenge in my store was finding them. just an empty shelf.:( :p
i really wanted to try this one as well. i was going to mix it with a mccoy shop v morrisons. but that was a no no as well. mccoys were rolled back to £1 in my store :(
so muggle shopping for me today. but at least my 7 wombled apgs went through ss ok. its a lot easier on the ones with a belt as they have a scanning gun. (2 separate shops)
