I did a self defence course for women once and it was suggested to keep a heavy object such as a glass paperweight by the bed ready to throw through the window to attract attention if you felt threatened. The idea being that people are more likely to help if property is being threatened rather than life!:(
I think this would only be useful if you live somewhere where sound carries.
My car alarm went off a while ago whilst my car was parked outside my house, and I never even heard it, and neither did my son. So if one of my neighbours threw something through a window there is even less chance of me hearing it. I don't live in a noisy area, but either I sleep the sleep of the dead, or sound doesn't carry too well here.Smiles are as perfect a gift as hugs...

Hi, thanks for the crisps glitch just been out to get some and picked up a pack of cheddar ones and the nicely spicy ones will let you know later if they pick up on the apg, was a nightmare on the self service as my 1p carrot and 3p sprout wouldn't pick up on the scale0
