We had Bratt and Dykes in Stafford but my mother never took us there, too expensive.
She took us to C&As in Wolverhampton and I am assuming we went on the train - I never knew why we never went to Birmingham
She didn't like escalators and passed this fear onto me

My mum used to take us to C&A s in Liverpool . She also had a fear of escalators mind you there are some cracking ones there. Don't bother me though :)

I still think £5k is just going to be the tip of the iceberg but at least if we have made her life easier and at least she has a pot of money to start her off

I've put in a request for no over the top wildly extravagant hen and buck weekends - I seem to think eldest son went to Edinburgh for his mates and it cost hundreds in train tickets, hotel etc
