What do you buy as a Christmas present for a 80 year old woman who hardly eats enough to feed a mouse, doesn't go anywhere, has no interests in anything...and says flowers give her a head ache!!
I'm super stuck!! Last year it was a silk scarf and an amaryllis the same as the year before and a calendar, which shed guessed by poking at the wrapping even before Christmas eve
I was wondering if you can buy really big print word searches anywhere? Or if the experienced elite had any other suggestions?
Thank you my lovely's
I would say soft centre chocs but they may not be the best idea.

That being the case, I will be looking for reduced price or free eggs next year again then.
You wonder if there is a big company out there who could mount a hostile bid to buy back c4dbury? I suspect probably not as it will be mixed in to the main company now. Another company ruined through greed and abusing the product that they had bought.

For block/bar milk chocolate, I now tend to buy Tesco own brand Fairtrade at about 75p for 100g. It tastes more like chocolate should, and leaves no greasy residue.
Agreed. I use Tesco's chocolate a lot in baking for that very reason'I solemnly swear that I am up to no good'0 -

Magazine subscription - if she has a favourite weekly/monthly mag?
(Does she like books and if so does your library have an 'at home' service where they drop books off?)
Luxury biscuits/warm socks/blanket/fleecy throw possibly?
Scented drawer liners or wardrobe sachets and padded hangers.
Box set of favourite TV drama?
More than a decade ago, my mother (then in her late 70s) suddenly discovered Tetris on DD's old Nintendo, it kept her entertained for hours on end, she could hardly put it down.“All shall be well, and all shall be well and all manner of thing shall be well.”0 -
Sorry I don't know but I have noticed we have been missing quite a number of Elite for a number of weeks - I did check back but couldn't see any major falling out to prompt a walk out, but maybe any offending messages were deleted.
Hopefully as Christmas is a time of peace and goodwill to all men, women and anonymous Elite members, lurking Elite and new will feel able come back out of the shadows to join in.

What about a calendar , a bath towel , perfume , china mug , thermal mug depending on which she uses. I use both when I brew thermal saves me getting up 20 mins later making another brew. I know it doesn't sound much but a gift voucher wrapped inside the calendar . Smelly soap , bath shower stuff from lush , body shop. A candle if she likes candles. Sorry I got carried away0 -

I have had one pair delivered out of three , it says on the label 1 of 2 parcels but no sign of the other one and no courier name to contact.
The boots I did get are really nice though. Thanks.
Hermes.:)
My 7 pairs arrived this morning and they are amazing!:T
Many thanks to the OP (I think it may have been Bubbs):beer:N1LDA:D0
