Part of the Furniture Combo Breaker I've been Money Tipped!
Ad break time to dash downstairs for another glass of wine :)

I'm really enjoying tv tonight although I'm losing my voice
There's no place like home :)

Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.

Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.

  • Evening all, sorry for the absence. I've been a lurker for a few months now as I simply struggle to keep up.

Just thought I'd let you know it's exactly a year since Staples cleared out on the choc's I'm sure many of the regs will remember... Wonder if it'll be the same this year...

A friend of mine has been saying for ages (she is Italian) that the only pasta worth eating is Barilla. I have always been put off it by the cost and have tended to buy not the value stuff but the normal stuff -- I eat a lot of pasta! Having eaten Barilla now, courtesy of the vouchers, I realise it takes pasta to a whole new dimension and don't think I will ever use the cheap stuff again -- except when I make pasta bake!! It is so difficult when you bake it to get it just right, al dente but not too hard and not too soft, so I think it is a real waste of Barilla. All of you baking it, try eating it just with the sauce first and see if you like it that way. If you do, don't waste Barilla in a bake!! (Though all these recipes sound great and I am planning to try them with normal pasta -- thank you.)

Early night for me tonight. Goodnight all.

Bubbs, probably too late for you, but if you are trying to joint a chicken, Delia's instructions work really well. I put off trying for ages out of fear, but when I tried it, I was very surprised to find out how easy it is. Nicer and cheaper than buying chicken pieces. Hope your curry went well.

Thanks, yes done it, i wanted the breast which i did fine, then cut the legs and wings off and froze them
Curry was a nice change from a roast on a Sunday, hubby has lurgy and fancied the curry:p

Sounds lovely. I hope hubby is better soon and does not give the lurgy to you. You've enough to cope with!
