Home Bargains this morning apart from black metal Christmas tree stands also had
Mr Snowman - various stationery sets for £1.49 and under £2 including letters to Santa kits, Mr Snowman tins with not much in and very cute notebooks. If you have a look on Amazon you can see pictures - these and Thorntons snowman would go well together
Also Elizabeth Shaw ginger thins in a festive box in gold wrappers - £1.49 so about half price. Very nice to go with the after dinner coffee and a change from the usual mints
Very thick disposable foil trays for roasting veg in - Oh had a moan saying what's wrong with boiled veg - I explained that Christmas is a special meal and frozen peas done in the microwave won't do, honestly, they exasperate you at times
Also Thorntons white chocolate snow mans for 99p small and £2.99 large, too cute to eat really“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove. Every day will allow you, --will invite you to add something to the pleasure of others, --or to diminish something of their pains.”0 -

Well I was going to go to Liverpool today to soak in the atmosphere for Christmas but I'm glad I didn t go now as it's been raining and dull all day. Then I read that it's the worst day for folk to buy their presents .
So I thought full trains, loadsof people everywhere and I didn t really need to go so I just went to my local town and I was glad to get back home .0 -
Also we went to our local butchers first thing as its on the Amex. Local shop list - spend £10 get £5 back.
So I got pigs in blankets and a pork shoulder rolled joint - OMG don't ask how much. But my justification is that it will be for Boxing Day and it's the one thing I didn't have now, a pork joint.
Also eldest son worked in this butchers on Saturdays and when he was at college and waiting to join the army. The pork came from the local agricultural college where youngest son was at colledge and uni for 5 years.
Neither of our lads have been home together at Christmas for the last 4 years so this will be quite a significant dinner“Create all the happiness you are able to create; remove all the misery you are able to remove.
