Afternoon all just hid the TV toy so I can watch muppets:o while wrapping pressies .
  • Weird weather. It looks cold but in fact it's 13 degrees, and it's very dark and overcast. Odd.

But the good news is that one week today on Boxing Day, sunset will be a whole 4 minutes later than today. :T:T

Can't wait to get the other side of the shortest day.

NSD today which makes rather a bit of a change....

    xx

They're just playing my favourite Christmas song on the radio.

A Spaceman Came Travelling by Chris De Burgh :D

I love that song.:D. Like a lot of his, ds3 was shocked to hear me singing to Patricia the striper recently. In my defence never knew he was at home.

    Afternoon all

Well the tree is up, floor to ceiling. it took 2 of us 2 hours just to get it up, the trunk wedged onto place, lights on and vaccummed - I have no idea how some of you did it in half an hour on your own unless your is a table top version.

I ordered a metal tree stand from Tesco.direct and it was supposed to arrive in store on Friday so I was all ready for this until they sent me an email lunchtime on Friday to say it would be delayed

So we went on a Christmas tree stand hunt for alternatives as a back up incase the worst happened. B & Q had none. B & M only had the green plastic ones for £14 and no where else had them.

By chance we were in Home Bargains this morning and quite coincidentally OH found a black metal one with twirly legs, exactly what we wanted.there were quite a few do I think it must have been a new delivery - def not there earlier in the week

So we had huge pleasure in going into Tesco this afternoon where I was due to collect the order to cancel - £14 not spent in Tesco is always a good thing :)
