    Morning all

I was sorting out the car insurance for youngest son last night - we have a multi car policy with Admiral and it was showing as zero years no claim bonus as he went to another company in between (long story)
But I emailed the other company last night and they sent me the proof so I could email this to Admiral. I then rang them again, all the details could be taken over the phone and all they needed was the policy number and company phone number/web address

so for the sake of a couple of emails I've saved £137.19 this morning :D

Neither Mrs Anon or I have been credited with the 1000 N3ctar bonus from eating at P1zza Express last week - should they have arrived by now? Do they normally appear on the bottom of the receipt (the same as the points when used) as mine didn't?

I see Mrs Anon has an offer for 750 bonus for eating in P1zza Express by the end of the month though I don't seem to :( ... not that we will have chance to go again this month but that is not the point.

First I've heard of this - was it on your nectar page online or did you get an email

on both of my nectar accounts all we have is 100 points for buying a starter - it generates a code - we don't have starters usually

Did you do the previous 1000 point offers? We did and the points appeared overnight - I converted 1000 points to get £10 pizza express and then 1000 bonus went on overnight so they appeared on the same day on the list - used 4 codes

You can earn 4400 free Avios (=£44) by opening a new Accorhotels a/c, playing the 1100 point game - do it again for your partner - then transfer the points to Iberia Plus Avios a/cs (free to set up) using Andrew H's autoconvert trick. [To Iberia Plus because you get 4400 Avios rather than 2200 Avios if you convert to British Airways Exec Club.] You wait 3 months then transfer from IB to BAEC. Worked for my wife & myself yesterday. Use Chrome when you set up the autoconvert.

I won't hijack elite stuff by posting too much Avios detail here, just pointers, so if you're interested in Avios, go over to Headforpoints.

yes do keep posting these little nuggets of info - everything is useful to someone and often we need an extra nudge

  • Good morning all, another dreary day here :(

Another one that has gained through email :)

My Morphy Richards soup maker went wrong again (I use it a lot). I bought it through Amazon 2 years ago last October, but it was replaced the following February under warranty. I emailed Morphy Richards to ask if it was still under guarantee and they said it was not as the guarantee ran from the original purchase date, and offered me a discounted one.

I then emailed the ceo of Morphy Richards on Sunday, a message was left on my phone yesterday lunch time saying they are sending me a new one :D:D

Hi, best to wait till tomorrow and see if the offers are still on then re shopitize.

I did the Nationwide offer for gift cards and got the £25 back after a day or two. I bought £100 gift voucher which came with a free teddy but that offers not on now.

thanks for this - shame about the teddy though.

Eldest son wants a wireless hardrive and he only announced this a day or 2 before we went away so there really was not much time to do the research.
So I am thinking that if I get myself £100 Amazon credit then all I have to do is pin OH down and get him to tell me which one to order
