I buy all year round but I've managed to cut the gift list down a lot over the past few years, it was too big at 30+ people and now it's less than a dozen. Plus I realised last year that I am not actually Father Christmas nor am I responsible for absolutely everything on everyone's wish list. And even with the grandkids I've begun to realise that I am merely one of 4 grandparents and that Santa steals the show anyway, which is how it should be! So no more sackfuls for the sake of it, just one well chosen big thing each and a few extras, all for opening on the day. (Their clothing gifts have already been delivered unwrapped, and are being worn and enjoyed already and that's worked out better, so I'll do that again next year.)
very true, I know it will all come together on the day
I used to have to buy masses including the teachers, babysitters presents etc and now its just 6 of us plus I get a couple of small things for my sisters and that's it - sadly neither of us have our parents still alive.
so 6 should be very easy but 3 of them are men in their twenties, impossible to buy for. Then their is eldest sons GF who has been a round for nearly a year now but still a bit of a mystery as to her tastes. Eldest child who is now on a really good salary so wants and needs for nothing.
For OH I've got toberlone triangle box, Sloe Gin from Aldiand also this book - I've actually wanted it myself for months and we had a really fabulous weekend there in August which he is still raving about

Bought some 750g Crunchy Nuts yesterday in T £1.65
Not bad, you mutter.
Even better, says I - when you get the packs with the free 2 month NowTV Movies pass - 1 million to be won. We seem to win every other go.
They were being replaced by some newer promotion, so have a rummage if they're not at the front.0 -

Hi All
I think (I hope I am correct) that buying 5 large tubs of Philadelphia cheese in T's should be a good deal 5 x 2.40 = £12 less £3 dairy coupon, then it should BM against A (£1) = 5 tubs for £2 + fillers???0 -

Good afternoon Elite :santa2:
I'm hoping today everyone is feeling well and already out and about shopping
mhoc, don't forget to go for that tree, get the decorations out and sorted ready to put on
Well, not a good start for me today. My intentions were good as I set the alarm on my phone for 7.30am. Woke and turned it off, fell asleep again and woke up at 9.15am  No sign of DH, he had already gone out and left me sleeping
I need some gift tags and bows so I can continue wrapping a couple of things today. Having to do a couple at a time as right hand still painful across the back of my hand and pain shooting down through to my thumb
Done my catch up but still in pjs , lazy mare, need a kick up the b u m to make me get a move on :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:There's no place like home
Feeling down? Weak in body? Makes no difference to me, I think of you all when I'm sitting quietly.
Hugs and healing thoughts are always going your way.0
