Did I mention that I was looking for fitted king size sheets?

Spent what seemed like hours on the internet looking for the best prices and found them today in Asda Living. Not a great selection of colours but got a fitted king size sheet and 2 matching pillowcases for a total of £20 which I'm over the moon with.

I got grey but think there's cream and Ivory too:)

They are good at the moment. I had the leg of lamb on one a day or so ago and alcohol today on two of them! A third also had alcohol on it but unfortunately it was the Carling that, when they buy 2 for £20, is more expensive elsewhere.

You can get some good ones from the small supermarkets too - I don't know what other people, who perhaps only have a small supermarket from A available to them and no substantive A for miles around, are finding about this? I had one the other day, over £5, that came from a Supermarket and the APG is the largest I've ever got from there (it might be the largest I've had from a Supermarket - I did have a £4.70-something from one of the Supermarkets possibly a couple of years ago). The one the other day was found in the verge on the carpark. I had another from a Supermarket, also in the verge, that gave something worthwhile too, but not as much. It is unusual to be getting over £4 ones from Supermarkets. I need to be looking in the verges:rotfl:.

It used to be - according to this very old article http://www.thisismoney.co.uk/money/bills/article-1710498/Asda-well-be-10-cheaper-or-money-back.html - that around 1 of 10 of the receipts were cheaper at another supermarket. I'd estimate that, at the moment, of the receipts that are eligible (have 8 or more different appearing items), only about 3 in 10 are more than 10% cheaper, probably 3 are cheaper but not by 10% and 4 are cheaper elsewhere:T:D. So, if you don't normally try it, it could well be better than some glitches at the moment. I can't guarantee you'd have 40% turning out cheaper elsewhere though. You could end up with a bunch that mostly don't give anything - but, for me, most of them are resulting in a voucher offer - some amounts are fairly small (I don't always claim them), one today was 13p, but most of them it seems are worthwhile. At least as far as what I've been managing. It does seem more unusual than anything else for them to be more than 10% cheaper:j:rotfl::).

They reckon its full moon day on Christmas Eve in Sri Lanka - I bloody well hope thats right cos they don't allow ANY alcohol on full moon (Poya days) and we have timed our flights to arrive Christmas morning to miss the 'dry' day. If we arrive and I can't have my very large Planters Punch I will not be happy (and before anyone tells me I shouldn't be having alcohol given my disgrace earier this year - there isn't any vodka in them !)
