But good news I went Christmas shopping, sadly did not do as well as i hoped still got lots to get, and I used one of the m and s gift vouchers I have had for nearly a year and got 2 rotating musical biscuit tins, for pressies I went on about liking them so much .that one has vanished from my pressie pile, I am sure it will end up under my Xmas tree.:rotfl:

Under the box where you enter your password there is a tick box which says keep me logged in.

It also sounds like you may need to go to your privacy settings within your browser (Chrome, Firefox, IE etc) as you may have enabled auto fill.

That is already unticked, but I have ticked it, then unticked it - and it's still filling details in having gone offline, deleted cookies and come back again. I'll have a look at the browser settings [Strike]- though, as far as I know - I have both Chrome and FF - indeed also have IE - it is filled in no matter which browser I use, so isn't browser specific[/Strike] - I'm wrong as it isn't filled in on Chrome but is on FF.

Hello everyone, did anyone miss me :D I just slipped away into the sunset.

Nice trip to Madeira, Canaries and Lisbon, perfect seas in both direction, just got back at 3.30 this afternoon
    - taxi from the port, an hour wait at Southampton central, train to Oxford, bus replacement to Banbury, train from Banbury to Brum New Street and then a final train for the last leg of the journey, walk to the car, Aldi, dump cases at home and go to collect the cats, knackered out

    - already on the 2nd load of washing.

already fallen out with OH as he idea of a good time is to take me to Aldi on the way home and then he insists I have time to watch 2 hour of Eastenders - why????

    House is freezing cold

I logged off MSE and out of FB and went totally without the internet so apart from over hearing that Cumbria is 6 foot deep in water and there is snow in the north east I have been living on a different planet.

Main computer needed 19 updates and 1250 emails downloading, only 5% of use, ipad and iphone all needed updates before anything would work so Ive had to leave them to get on with it.

You moved house while I was away - anything exciting that I missed?

right I will be back tomorrow if I ever catch up, just need to do the grisly business of making sure all bills were paid whilst we were away

Success! It was still keeping my username, even when I typed in one letter it was then in a drop-down, but I've managed to stop that from coming up - I bet it still remembers it though:mad:! They have you all tracked, I went via a page that said that FF helpfully:mad::mad: (read UNhelpfully) keeps a record of all pages you visited as part of my privacy (not my privacy at all - in other words BREACH of my privacy IMO) - they know far too much about me, cheeky beggars! I thought Google Chrome was bad - they want to personalise and send you ads - but FF is just the same!

Actually, now I'm on this topic - I saw the technology programme (Click) on the BBC News Channel yesterday and one of the things they mentioned - obviously in its infancy - was technology in supermarkets that has cameras up and detects facial expressions in relation to what you are looking at on your i-Phone and pads - they have you all tracked! They even had clothing that was already prepared for you to pick up - and tracked you (infringed your privacy IMO even if not illegal to do this) every stage of the way! Ha ha ha though:D - such a system won't be able to identify my facial expressions and work them out as I don't send out any usual ones:D:D:j:T:rotfl::rotfl:. At least I hope they will have no 'autism' setting (:( if they manage to build that in - I'll have deliberately to build in a squint the other way in order to confuse them and not be able to read my mind:eek: - if any of these systems could read what I was thinking I am majorly unhappy about it:(:p:mad: - I do not want you knowing how best to influence me in order to get me to spend money. If I become aware (and there's the killer - it's even more 'sinister' if it's done when I'm not even aware of it) that anyone is trying to influence me, I shall deliberately go out of my way to do anything other than what they want me to do! T's CC is bad enough, knowing what I buy, in order to try to target me with offers on things I might like, that might see me - if I was not careful:D - spending more money - at least the benefit (from our POV, disadvantage to them) of wombles is that you can confuse them through having several people's data, with different shopping habits, on the same card!
