They have always used Windows 7 so may be easier for them to stay with what they are used to. Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

Last time I looked, it was about £65 for a copy of Windows. So long as the relevant drivers are available for the OS, you should be fine. Just boot from the DVD and it guides you through the installation.0

Just because they are sans OS, doesn't mean they have no licence.0

I have had a quick look at Amazon and there are Windows 7 home premium for around £30ish. No doubt I will be asked to install it as well so need it to be fairly straightforward! Am thinking of a new one:beer:0

if its the windows refurb disk then yes they are about £30 and mine installed with no problems, although it didnt register online so had to go through the phone registration, other than that it was a case of pop the disk in and follow the instructions, easy peaseyDrop a brand challenge
on a £100 shop you might on average get 70 items save
10p per product = £7 a week ~ £28 a month
20p per product = £14 a week ~ £56 a month
30p per product = £21 a week ~ £84 a month (or in other words one weeks shoping at the new price)0 -
Does that install the drivers needed as well?
The company can install Windows 8.1 and provide recovery usb for about £60 is that worth doing? Am thinking of a new one:beer:0 -
on my system i personally had no problems with the drivers and everything installed straight of the disk (or downloaded during the install) as i used a ethernet connection to my routerDrop a brand challenge

I guess that you have missed my point. Install it yourself for free. Recovery USB costs the same. Nothing.
If you go for it, let me know the Service Tag and we can take a look at which disc is necessary for the install0
