    Day 3/4/5 & 6

    Geez what a flippin weekend..............

Day 3 Spent the entire day packing DD's stuff for moving day, went shopping and picked her and BF up with his stuff, (BF's parents were real sh*tty with him) got home and loaded car up...................minor miracle we got it all in................if anyone ever wants to hire me for packing I am the Queen at it, every inch of an estate and a 4x4 was full, even got the memory foam double mattress in :j

Day 4 Moving day, up early and on our way to L*nd*n. Only on the outskirts but hey me driving in L*nd*n :eek::eek: Unloaded (2 hours)and then a trip to Ik*a (we did a detour as my navigator was a newbie- BF- and :eek::eek::eek::eek:me on the nth circular, not just round the corner but a full 40 min drive further into L*nd*n) for sofa bed, bed, table and tv cab (all paid for by BF's dad because he couldn't be bl**dy bothered to rearrange his day off, so they are going next weekend for a jolly:mad::mad::mad:) Back form Ik*a and unloaded again..........now it gets hairy. I luuuvvvv flat pack but OH hates it, so stress on 100db's and noise on 200db's lol............this takes 4 hours to do. Then home James don't spare the horses

As you can see this is the short version, I have missed out DD's mini meltdowns and a major one plus OH crying because he will never see his baby again, oh and the parking ticket:mad:

Day 5 Nothing, knackered..........sunday roast and a film

Day 6 (today) Major disaster in a tea cup, DD's BF's transfer not happened, DD major major meltdown, me liaise with BF as to what to do.............all sorted, OH still crying :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

Money spend loads, not a good start but I have enough diesel for the rest of the week and only need a few small bits in week, keeping a spending diary but I think I know what it's going to say.

Have read a few more diaries and they are great, I plan to write a list of all those cr*p to do things and try and do one each day, inspired by another Mse'r, many thanks, maybe my list will eventually go down instead of up................one can hope :A

  • Thought I would pop in and say hi and wish you luck.
I've been OPing for about 7 years now and I started at £90k. I have about 5-6 months to go. Doing it on my own with young kids and it is almost to the end! My kids are now teens and getting more expensive. I admire that you paid for DDs degree, thats some going! If you can do that then you will crash your debts if you have the same mind set to do it. :)

You have my respect it not easy with kids and they really do get more expensive.
Paying the post grad was the hardest thing I have ever done, I managed to find about £2,300 a month without OH and DD knowing I shouldered it all nearly broke me but it also made me realise if I was going to be MF I had to do it now :T

  • You would crash your mortgage at that rate but you also have to have a life. I got addicted at one point but then realised you cant let it overcome you to the point of obsessive haha.

Sue, oh my word, what a lot you've taken on, between DD, OH and the postgrad debt. I'm really glad you gave yourself some breathing space on Sunday - very necessary. And being aware of upcoming obligations so that you don't suddenly put yourself into the red even temporarily, which would be a shame.

    Any fun coming up?

I have a few xmas bits to get and a business bill to pay by end of Dec so will try to be tight other than that so I will have some money to OP at end December, asked mum for B*Q vouchers for xmas so lots of DIY over the holiday season

Thanks, no fun as yet but fun to me would just be to go and use free tea/coffee voucher at local garden centre.:money:

I know, I got into serious trouble and was 10 days away from a repossession hearing in August this year, bailiff's came in May over CTax too, so very hairy BUT I survived (all without OH and DD knowing) :T:T
