In view of recent events with a flood of debt collector letters with highly inflated charges which are not reasonable, now is the time to for a MEGA push on this petition to government.
It has now reached 5783 and rising daily :T
https://petition.parliament.uk/petitions/111925
There are some who think this petition is a waste of time but 5783 don't think so, within a month it has risen from 579 to 5783
Couple this with the fact that the Department for Communities and Local Government held a consultation in May and we are waiting a decision.
Parking reform: tackling unfair practices
https://www.gov.uk/government/consultations/parking-reform-tackling-unfair-practices
The government is fully aware of this and therefore the petition adds further weight to requirements
We need to STOP these parking cowboys gorging on your money
If the government really do want to protect their voters, they could do it right now and that will be to place a halt on ALL COURT CLAIMS issued by these cowboys, until there has been a full investigation into their conduct.
The judiciary did this when there was a flood of claims against banks a few years ago, they can do it RIGHT NOW, it does not need an act of parliament
SIGN THE PETITION AND TELL EVERYONE TO SIGN, we simply cannot accept such a blatant money making scam which is now on par to Wonga (before their wings were clipped) and the current phone scammers after your bank accounts.

I was under the impression that the rule was one topic one thread...
Bumping is generally accepted but starting a new thread on the same topic aint.
My very sincere apologies for those hoping to request off-board assistance but I am now so inundated with requests that in order to do justice to those "already in the system" I am no longer accepting PM's and am unlikely to do so for the foreseeable future (August 2016).
For those seeking more detailed advice and guidance regarding small claims cases arising from private parking issues I recommend that you visit the Private Parking forum on PePiPoo.com0 -
It's pointless because even if it gets to 10,000 then government will simply say "we're looking at it", which we knew anyway. Big deal!
Please stop cluttering up the forum with new topics about this irrelevance.Je suis Charlie.0 -
Use the Tesco principle, Every Little helps.I'd rather be an Optimist and be proved wrong than a Pessimist and be proved right.0

As per the post below yours
Peter-the-Piper is right by saying
"Use the Tesco principle, Every Little helps."
No clutter involved here, 5847 people think it is very important and now with the mass mail out, it is even more important to get to these people. Companies do not advertise on TV with just one advert do they ? Success comes with a campaign and if that means telling people 100's of time, so be it.
As said previously, not everyone agrees with me but at least I am giving it a good try as with most others. Thanks to parking eye who have now created their own damage, there is no reason for anyone not to believe something will happen. I really do not understand your thoughts especially with the huge number of people who are being hurt ???0 -
Thing is you know your hobby horse causes controversy, so it seems you just keep spamming different forums so that the arguments against all this get diluted.A

You break the rules by all this spamming.
(Do you have a vested interest??)0 -
Why would the government stop it - what's in it for them? The money collected from the gullible is post-tax, they then tax the profits declared by the cowboys - who are paying VAT on their consumables etc.0

You know something Quentin the problem with forums anywhere is that comments get lost so quickly.
My vested interest is to stop this industry from robbing people and the more help, the better for everyone.
I assume that bumping up a post is OK0 -
By way of contrast, the 'Ban Donald Trump' e-petition has been signed by almost a quarter of a million people in 24 hours.
If only ......Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .
I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.

What's not in it for the government is the voters being ripped by
unscrupulous companies. Maybe you are saying that government allow these companies simply for them to collect money ?0 -
