Oh please. It's hardly judgemental to think it was a poor decision by the OP to ignore the emails he received, especially since he admits he saw he received two of them! I think people who replied appear sympathetic but you can't seriously be trying to argue that the OP did nothing wrong?

I would check through your emails/letters and see if there is anything in writing to say that there were two orders. If you do have something in writing then I would say you do not have a leg to stand on.

However, if there was no email/letter, then you may be able to appeal to their good nature and see if they would be good enough to refund part of the cost as a gesture of goodwill. I am sure they will be able to prove that you placed two orders.
