OMG I booked a holiday by accident twice through the BA Website

I wish you luck OP, but my experience is BA Customer Services won't budge..0

I do feel for you OP, but surely the fact that you put in 2 lots of payment info (on different cards) would make you double check the emails?0

Plus the reminders for the advance passenger informationPrivate Parking Tickets - Make sure you put your Subject Access Request in after 25th May 2018 - It's free & ask for everything, don't forget the DVLA

your statement that "surely someone should have picked up two passengers with the same name twice on the same flight?? " implies you are under some illusion there is some kind of human interaction with the booking process also i have spent many years interacting with the the traveling public and its quite normal for there to be people on flights with the same name and they not be related, or there are people on flights with the same name as they are father and son/mother and daughter.
I find it strange that one of the bookings wasn't cancelled automatically (we call them robots and welcome to the 21st century) irrespective of your experience of non related people with the same name on the same flight and how "normal" that is.
As for related persons well they are more likely to be on the same booking and as this was 2 separate bookings and booked via the same channel it should have flagged up as a dupe quite quickly, maybe it did and the OP hasn't read that email yet either.0 -
this may have been more obvious if the same card had been used for both bookings but it is perfectly feasible for a father and son to travel on the same flights and pay for their own tickets...same name, different cards
I imagine one would be rather miffed to find their booking cancelled because that name had already been used by someone on the flight0 -
Isn'it strange that the OP has not come back with comments??
Did it really happen??0 -

The other thing is if you look on your credit or debit card online it will tell you what is pending and what balance is available which would show if the first went through or not:T:T  :beer::beer: to the lil one
