Good morning everyone
Am going to have to spend today as we are on the last of the milk! We have friends coming around later too, so will have to get a couple of bits in for that. Am adamant that I am not going to spend over budget though, we have about £9 left so easy peasy!
We are having a takeaway tonight, using the money we have made selling a few bits of unwanted junk this week, so am not counting that in GC budget as we "earned" that money separately!
Have a lovely day everyone, I'll stop by later to updatex

I'm really pleased that I managed the first weeks shopping well under budget. I allowed £150 but only spent £87.08 and that included a takeaway. I will still have £150 as this weeks allowance but will start reducing it from the week after.
Just letting any tea drinkers know, Tesco is selling boxes of 240 bags of Typhoo for only £2. I'm stocking up as it's my favourite. They have some really good offers on at the moment on noodles and sauces as well if anyone likes that sort of food.0 -
Well I'm back from town and spent £8.04p ... total for the week is £69.48p, so *just* under budget for the week (well 10 days, so even better!) :T
I won't be spending tomorrow as we have everything in that we need and my new grocery week starts on Sunday. Menu plan is nearly finished so I will share that when it's done (probably tomorrow)...Debt Free Journey started 21.05.20170 -
Did the monthly Aldi shop today at £96.12. Went slightly off list, buying reduced mince pies, a Christmas pudding and some cider. Good for easy puddings and packed lunches - cider good for end of week!!!!
So this leaves me with £194.21 left for the month with 7 shops to go (Sunday and Thursday). Makes for 3 more tesco £40 shops on Sunday and 4 smaller shops on Thursday of £15 ish. Will try to stick to this plan (means I have to go to shops on Thursday or Friday but that should be ok).Oct grocery budget £368.40 / 6000 -
Im on board next month! I'm doing terrible at budgeting the groceries since I've been on maternity leave! little and often and it all adds up :wall:
I don't know if its maternal instincts but i seem to be stockpiling like a crazy woman!
Next month - its cash in a purse and once its gone its gone! :doh:Current Mortgage balance - £363,785.35/£420,000 (highest point Oct 2022).0 -
popped into my local aldee while we were out, got the satsumas and baked beans off my list, also picked up salad tomatoes and a carton of carrot and coriander soup for lunches at the beginning of next week to hopefully increase the number of NSD's. Hubby and I ate out for lunch as we had a voucher from a friend, although we did purchase a dessert from Aldee to have tonight to save money, so adding that to my total too.

First shop of the month today and it cost £11.61 We have been using food up and freezing what we knew we wouldn't eat before it went off, so there are a few more bits in the freezer. Just 2 finger rolls gone into the waste. A home made curry from freezer for tea.
Hubby is doing dry January and so far so good.
Have also totalled up the bank savings this year and we have managed to have a small increase in 2015 A good start to 2016 lets hope it continues.MARCH £62.38/2500 -
