Hi all, had a really good week with 3 NSD's in a row. Did a small top up shop of store cupboard essentials in Mr T today as well as my usual weekly shop in Aldeee. Spent far less than usual on the weekly shop as I wrote a shopping list and only got the things on it. I couldn't get an satsumas as they were out of stock so will have to look tomorrow when I'm out to see if the store near me has any. I also need to buy baked beans as I forgot to add those to the list and they are a store cupboard staple for lunches.

    Mr T- £16.69
    Aldee -£18.20

OH picked up some more bits today, including a few YS things (4 custard tarts for 5p :D ) but he lost the receipt roll_eyes_smiley_by_mirz123.gif so I'll have to wait til it shows up on the bank statement to update an amount!

Evening all and a warm welcome to new peoples :hello:

Great to read some of you doing so well for the first week - keep it going and you'll be on the winning side against the sms :rotfl:

Managed another NSD here today. We had sweet and sour chicken with rice and enough cooked chicken frozen for two more meals.

I really need to sit down and finish my monthly menu plan before Sunday so I can check supplies. Really haven't got myself back into organised frame of mind yet as soo full of a cold/cough bug and don't want to do anything :o Hoping to feel better the morrow.

Hope you all have a frugal Friday

    Evening all :)

I can finally report ... cottage pie has been consumed :) With leftovers for DH's lunch ....

SM spend for milk today: £2.84 (I'll update the totals tomorrow).

However, I have nothing in for lunch tomorrow .. and no time to buy anything, so suspect cereal may play in my plan !

Dinner is even more problematic. DH & DD won't be back until after 6, but DH then needs to go out promptly, I'm working until 5.30ish.

I have sausages, but no potatoes and pasta has been on the menu too often for DD this week.

This does highly illustrate the need for menu planning and food prep.

(The weekend doesn't look much better) ...

    Let's see how this goes!

Had an unexpected change of plans so had to pop to Mr M this morning. I'm now £12.90 lighter and hopefully I can plan a little better next week to shuffle it to stay within budget for the month. Argh!

I'll update my signature later - I'm not sure how to do it on my phone! Hope everyone has a good day.

£11.83 spent yesterday, my total is now £81.98 already this month :(

I don't like this buying bits every couple of days, but while I'm living in a shared house with very little cupboard/fridge space, there isn't much I can do about it.
