Right now, I am losing faith with this. You start by referring to the store Manager, now its the assistant manager, big difference.
The CEO has said there is nothing he can do, who is the boss of Curry's ?
As the Manager cannot arrange a refund for a parking ticket, there is no chance of the assistant manager doing the same.
What about the CEO, assume he does not know ?
Yes, you have a dilemma, we all need to know what happens next0 -
Beamerguy. What difference does it make if it was the manager or the assistant manager if neither can authorise a refund? Sebastion James is the CEO and he says:
We have nothing to do with the parking people and dislike them as much as you do. We can Lodge a complaint but in the past this has been pretty ineffective.
With kind regards
Seb James0 -

it makes a big difference to substantiate what you are saying
You need to take Seb James to task, he is talking total rubbish
So why does the manager / assistant manager think they can do better than the CEO ?0 -
Hi Al. I now have my NTK. I just wanted to be sure that I an reading the Newbies section correctly and that I should appeal to UKPC (A BPA member) with the following.
Date
Dear Sirs
Re: PCN No. ....................
I challenge this 'PCN' as keeper of the car and I will complain to the landowner about the matter if it is not cancelled.
I believe that the signs were not seen/are ambiguous and the terms unclear to drivers before they park. Further, I understand you do not own the car park and you have given me no information about your policy with the landowner or on site businesses, to cancel such a charge. So please supply that policy as I believe the driver may well be eligible for cancellation.
There will be no admissions as to who was driving and no assumptions can be drawn. You must either rely on the POFA 2012 and offer me a POPLA code, or cancel the charge.
I have kept proof of submission of this appeal and look forward to your reply.
Yours faithfully,
--
Thanks for any assistance.0 -

Hi, the last post you made said that Seb James could not do anything.
Maybe he as CEO has not been kept up to speed with this ever escalating problem with UKPC

The car park management company are employed by the managing agents to run the car park on behalf of their client, the landlord.
And who do Curry's pay, the landlord via the agents ??
Of course Seb James can get it cancelled.
Odd that Curry's can make this statement ...
"Ultimately, management of the car park should exist to help the retailers and their customers not hinder them."
Curry's are going to be yet another retailer who will lose customers because UKPC operate in the car park0 -
Hi All
Can anyone confirm the above response is still correct for UKPC?
Thanks.ac0 -

If you've taken it verbatim from the NEWBIES FAQ sticky, post #1, then it's the latest and correct one.
