my case is similar, 42000km AND THE WHOLE ENGINE IS GONE, they are asking for 6000 quid to repair, just 5 years old car with all relevant services in Renault garages

You may struggle as they recommend 72k or 5 year which ever comes first. I would contact them but it may be bit harder to pursue than if the belt was only 3 or 4 years old.

You could get a second-hand engine for much less than that btw, just try and get a low mileage replacement. A French judgement will have only a minor bearing on a UK court.

i have a renault scenic which is playing up when starting up first thing in the morning when cold trouble picking up the revs untill warm can anyone help
