    Hi guys,

    Apologies for not updating sooner, been away and forgot to update the thread.

    Once the 28 days had passed I gave it another few weeks before I made contact.

    I rang the court as per letter above and requested an update. I advised I had been waiting for any post from Civil or the court and I've not heard anything back since the letter.

    The court advised that the claim had been stayed and the only thing the claimant can now do is pay more money and apply for a judge for an order to lift the stay. (does anyone know the cost of this?)

    To be honest I'm not sure if Civil have done this in the past, but I'm now hoping this is the end of it. I've not heard anything in the last 4 months either.

    Once again thanks for all your help guys and i hope this thread will help others.

    Don't be scared to defend yourself and with the excellent help off the lovely guys here you should be successful or at least do enough to stop the scums in their tracks.

    Thanks
    Nad

    That's great news. They've probably quietly dropped your one and moved on to easier victims.

    Hi, same here...I had a claim issued in January, fou nd my way through and put put a defence in also with the help of the great people here. The claim was stayed in April. The court won't write to tell you but they've confirmed the only thing CEL can do is apply to have it lifted. Court told me £100' tho... Not £255?

    Well worth digging in at every stage, following the advice and making sure you don't miss any deadlines!

    @Alitbaw

    Would you mind updating your own thread too as your case progresses please, especially when it is completed so that others in your situation can follow it through to its conclusion.
    Please note, we are not a legal advice forum. I personally don't get involved in critiquing court case Defences/Witness Statements, so unable to help on that front. Please don't ask. .

    I provide only my personal opinion, it is not a legal opinion, it is simply a personal one. I am not a lawyer.
