Your decision Garry. My opinion is that you will not overturn on legal grounds. It may be unfair but I believe you were in the wrong in that by parking without permission you breached a contract and were trespassing.
Trespass is just the term for parking without permission in my case and yours.

I suggest that you talk to her. Grovel, be polite, offer to pay a small amount for admin. Stress that if you were parked at night there was no chance of a loss to Halfords so the charge seems excessive. It's worth a try.
