Well done BabyBetty! That's amazing. Feels good doesn't it!? :T
I have been a bit awol lately on the forum, but still been plugging away and have just paid off the last of my Barclaycard and reached my 1 debt vs 100 days target!!! I am so happy to see the back of that card, I have had that particular debt for about 8 years so it is a bit of a huge milestone in my debt free wanabee journey. Thanks Amara for giving me some much needed extra motivation!
£1,091.61/£1,091.61!
I am going to take a little break from focussing on paying off debt as I go on holiday in a few weeks time so will be making sure I spend within my means up until the end of the challenge. But I'll be back next time to smash the next debt if you will have me!
Good luck everyone, keep going, you can do it!LBM 27/01/14 - £6,663.82

Trying really hard again!
I've managed to stash £500 in an emergency pot which hasn't been touched, pretty pleased with myself there. However use of the emergency pot is imminent, so I expect it'll all be gone next week when I have to do a big payout for somethingLet's just hope it doesn't happen so I can throw it all at my debt...
Even so, I've projected to have the OD paid off by end of March, still within the timeframe. I just need to stick it in a separate account so I don't "accidentally" spend it!0 -
Long lost poster returning lol
Hope everyone is well and well done to everyone who's completed their challenge.
I've cheated a little as I've just signed up to a Halifax account and got £125 for switching.....I justify it by saying that I've been unhappy with m&s bank for a long time ....I'm looking at it by saying it kills 2 birds with one stone!
I'm not counting it yet but in the meantime I've paid £28 off so my total is £3430 -
After rocky start I've made really good progress.
I'm stashing the money away in a savings account and I find if I do that it doesn't get respent.
I've saved £765.03 of the £1000 I need, and I'll be able to pay off the extra next Thursday!
I'll call my bank as soon as I get to the £1000, and transfer the money in just before I call them so it can't be spent. Then I'll close the overdraft and one debt will be GONE.
YAY!0 -
